  "We absolutely loved our stay at the Batavia. The staff are warm and friendly and have an attitude that says there is nothing they are not prepared to do for you to make your stay enjoyable.<br/>The accommodation is more that comfortable, the old house having been transformed into a fully functional boutique hotel without loosing any of its old world charm. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished without being pretentious and the radio even had a docking station for our iPod! <br/>We felt totally at home.<br/>"

  "One arrival we were asked if we would like to into a room in the main building instead of the cottage which we had booked at no extra charge.We were happy to do so and were impressed with the room although the mix of Afrikaner furniture with modern furniture is not our taste - the room was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the breakfast.The staff were all friendly and attentive."

  "I had the best time I could ever imagine. A luxury boutique hotel with the best team ever met in a hotel. Everybody treats you like a friend. They make you feel very comfortable. It is a great size hotel, does not have many rooms, so you get high quality service. <br/>The heart of the whole business is Elana. She organised all our social life for the duration of our stay in Stellenbosch with a unique efficiency. We went to the very best restaurants and everything she suggested was of the highest quality. Very friendly with a big heart and always there when you needed her. She is a great leader, and that reflects her great spirit to the rest of the team. <br/>If you go to Cape Town, you must visit Stellenbosch and no doubt...stay at Batavia. You will have an unforgetable experience. I had the best time ever. <br/><br/>Thank you Elana and the whole Batavia team!<br/>"

  "We were thoroughly spoilt & appreciated the little touches...the rose petals scattered on the duvet and in the bathtub, the candles, sparkling wine, chocolates...and the warm welcome the next morning at breakfast (which was scrumptious).What a perfect place for the first night of our honeymoon.I hope we can return to celebrate our 1st Anniversary"
