Waterval Chalets

Waterval Chalets offers rustic holiday accommodation on a working farm, situated on the banks of the Vals River, about 40 km from Kroonstad.

There are three self-catering chalets available, we have chalets with en-suite bathrooms as well as two separate bathroom rondavels and a kitchen area. Relax in the large lapa with a bar area, or outside by the Boma. Breakfast and dinner can be arranged on request only, as the chalets are fully equipped to prepare your own meals.

Some activities on the farm include fishing, bird-watching opportunities and beautiful sunsets for sundowners. The farm has a sense of old-world charm with no electricity.

"I went for a restful weekend to the Waterval Chalets, planning to do a lot of work and being very productive. Great was my surprise when I found their was no cellphone signal not electricity. What a stunning awesome surprise. My husband and I was forced to connect, chat listen to the nature sounds and enjoy an afternoon snooze daily. This is a lovely, cozy, comfortable clean cottage with enough to ensure a comfortable stay, without the luxuries we have in the city. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and will definitely return"
