Kuruman is one of those special places endowed with incredible picture scenery and a unique beauty. All of this is attributable to a natural fountain in the centre of Kuruman, known as The Eye. It is a small water calabash with bubbling water.Chapman Safaris Game Lodge is situated approximately 4 km outside of Kuruman on the Kathu Road. We boast a comfortable harmony between nature and wild animals. We have eight comfortable rooms with either queen-size beds or twin beds and the rooms all share bathrooms with showers. The rooms are equipped with TVs with DStv and air-conditioning.Enjoy exclusive privacy and supreme views. This is the place to relax your mind and spirit, and game viewing is available. There is a legend attached to this distinctive trick of nature that says that those who drink from the crystal clear spring may never want to leave Kuruman, and its no surprise to learn that the little village is thriving or that it is known as The Oasis of the Kalahari.
"Had a great braai in the boma. Brilliant breakfast. Great to be on a farm and not in town and very near to the main road"

"<div>Great place to over night and to relax.</div><div>Lovely location and clean and modern chalet.</div><div>Friendly welcome and made to feel at home.</div>"
"My wife and I and two family from overseas stayed here for a night. It is a good stopover point if visiting Augrabies. We were met by Nadine and we were shown to two very nice rooms overlooking the bush. We had arranged dinner which was lambshank. It was underdone for my taste as I like the meat to fall off the bone, but the others seemed to enjoy it.Breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. We were somewhat concerned to find that the place is unlicensed, and guests should be warned of this. We would certainly stay there again- and take our own wine. Tony C Hilton<br />"

"Without doubt, the best Braai in South-Africa we had at Chapman Safaris Game Lodge!! But also the Breakfast was rich and delicious. Further I have to mention that Ross took us on two free interesting game drives. Beside Ross also the other people at Chapman Safaris Game Lodge were very hospitable. We had the double room next to the main building where the shower and toilet is integrated into the room. This was not a problem for us, but if you prefer a separate bathroom you should better ask for one of the other rooms or chalets. Apart from that our room was nice and clean."
"Ross was a great Host, nothing was to much to ask for. Even took us on a game drive.Nice breakfast in the morning before departure.Good value."
"We have been self driving for 5 weeks all around SA and stayed mostly in Guesthouses. Chapman's has been over all one of most satisfying. It was just sort of isolated accommodation we were looking for and a good introduction to South Africa. While keeping up with reasonable rates, hard working and good humoured owner Ross gave us a warm welcome and manage to provide amenities generally found in more expensive lodges. We occupied one of two small and well appointed chalets on hill overlooking reserve, from which we had panoramic view from balcony and seen many animals while sipping wine at twilight. Short dirt road from main house and restaurant to chalet may not be fit for fancy sport cars, but we had no problem getting there with compact car. Other accommodations stand close to main lodge. Cellular phone is a must to call once you reach the locked gate on the dirt road leading in. We had one of best breakfast ever with huge and tasty ommelette and sausage in beautiful thatched roof restaurant in main lodge. Ross then offered to show us around reserve in his big overland vehicule. He drove us happily at slow pace which allowed us to view and photograph at close range most of the many roaming animals. We didn't see as many species anywhere else until we made it to Kruger. Only regret is reserve is so large that Ross could never track down the two newly released giraffes. Gilles Murray, Quebec, Canada"
"Room was clean, comfortable bed. Too close to the main house though and it would have been more convenient if the shower/toilet/basin were separate and not in the room itself."
"I cannot understand the glowing reviews of previous guests. Perhaps the "Lodge" has changed hands. We arrived, up the dirt road, a fair distance from town to be told there was no bar and no alcohol available. Not a concern if you know, but if you don't it is a long way from town. The first room we were offered was next to the kitchen and smelt like it was in the kitchen, strange when "dinner" that evening was fried chicken legs (probably from KFC) with rice and some spinach and salad. The amount of food was insufficient for the guests, a situtaion made worse when tho owner also ate from what was available. The other guests were offered bread and jam, no one spoke to us. No starter or sweet was available. The room we eventually stayed in was up the hill, only accessible by 4x4. The roof was loose and banged all night in the wind keeping us awake. No notice was taken of our choice for breakfast, we specifically asked for cheese to be excluded, but were served cheese grillers and cheese on toast. There was no supervision in the dinning area, and the food preparation methods were unhygenic to say the least. No mention of game drives either. Avoid this establishment."
"Clean and comfortable accommodation away from main road on game farm. We had room 2 which is unfortunately not sound proof and we could hear noises coming from kitchen clearly. Owner and staff friendly."
"Pleasant country style yet professional."
"Thanks for the friendly reception. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Recommended."
"Lovely, people are really friendly. It's a really good place. Thank you."
