Karnmelkspruit River Resort

Karnmelkspruit River Resort offers camping facilities for those with tents and caravans in this beautiful riverside setting. There is one fully self-catering cottage that is ideal for groups. This is a great holiday destination for nature lovers.

The resort has about 25 unmarked campsites for those with caravans or tents. The sites are on the edge of the river among the trees and shrubs; there is no electricity. Ablution facilities are available with hot water and solar lights. The cottage has gas facilities and is equipped for self-catering. There is a large lapa with braai facilities.
Fly Fishing at an extra cost per day and is catch and release

Guests can enjoy swimming in the river or wondering on many of the hiking trails. There is a breathtaking gorge at Karnmelkspruit River Resort, a vulture sanctuary and a historical train tunnel.

"Appreciated the braai area, since we were travelling with tent only, and the evening was quite windy :) - so the indoor braai area was lovely with lots of space; area is beautiful, hospitable hosts - Ian came round in the evening and ensured everyone was fine; we enjoyed our stay!"

"It was really a very nice spot, we were 10th febr 2018 and we had the camping site for ourselves. Only the house you can rent was also occupied. First we thought it was the reception, but we have to drive back to the main road and go to the first farm on the righthand side, about 2 km. It would be better to communicate it by the entrance of the gate. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in a awesome environment. And Ian, is a good guy, checking if everything is working."

"Amazing location. I was surprised that the night temperature was not as low as I expected. Would however not recommend for someone with low-mid suspension vehicle/caravan; access road something of an adventure."
