  "The room we had booked had problems with a blocked sewer. We were "upgraded" to a larger room at no extra cost. This was neither here nor there for us. I didn't really enjoy this upgrade it was a unit that could accommodate 12 people and we were 2. What I disliked most was the smell of stale smoke emanating from the TV / lounge room. It was overwhelming, we closed the door and never entered that room thereafter. An inside braai does not work for me. It would have been so much better for me if I had the room as shown in the photo that we had booked."

  "We stayed over for two nights in Albatros and it was the place that offered the best stay-over experience of all the places where we stayed during our West coast trip. I can recommend Albatros for a stay-over.Safe parking might be an issue if all the rooms are occupied."

  "We were offered a lovely "ipgrade" to an upstairs apartment sleeping 6 people in 2 bedrooms. We had a balcony overlooking the beach as in the picture on the left, but bigger, apartment no. 7. The peace and quiet was amazing, just the roar of the ocean at night. Showers were hot, the place was clean, neat and tidy and everything worked! There were occupants next door and on the ground floor below us but we weren't disturbed at all! Hester's daughter (who is lovely) came to give us the keys and when you leave you pop it downstairs in the office - very convenient and low maintenance. One small suggestion: have the wifi password available to guests on the information sheet / book....if you're bothered!"

  "Hi, dit was baie lekker, baie skoon, maar die plek kort n hele paar maintenance.. Kraan in badkamer werk nie, toilet sukkel ook maar. Dit is wel baie skoon en die uitsig is ongelooflik!! Maar bietjie outyds, kamer is baie nice behalwe vir die kaste!! Maar sal weer daar gaan bly!"

  "Sorry to say Lambertsbaai used to be a fishing mecca but no fun anymore as all is under controls, no more opportunities for public to catch crayfish or snoek as used to be in old days. This was Lambertsbaai's attraction, now there is about nothing - Even the Museum and wildlife area was out of order not properly maintained, were penguin's used to be. The Albatross accommodation was good however."

  "The photos on the website are misleading as the block is far from what you expect when you arrive there. We did not stay there and found accommodation from the Information office in town at half the cost and many times better than what we had seen at Albatros. it would appear as if the most of the people are permanent residence in the block."

  "I can gladly recommend Albatros to any couple or family because it had everything you need for a breakaway, one only needs to take your clothes, toiletries and food. Everything else is already there eg fridge, stove, microwave, pots, kettle, washing machine, braai spots, dstv, crockery, cutlery, towels,toilet paper, air freshener, tea sugar etc. (Ps you only need a frypan and a sound system if you a music lover) The reception was fantastic and your privacy well respected. There are alarm systems with a response of less than 2 min. Thank you Albatros for making our break-away a unforgettable one!"

Sal eenheid 6 aanbeveel vir 'n egpaar maar nie vir 'n gesin, omrede daar nie rond-hardloop plek is nie. Knap gedaan, Albatros!N Laing"

  "A group of our friends stayed at Albatros in November 2014 and found the experience pleasant. Everything was neat and clean and Hester went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. The place has some old and some new features, however I would describe it as basic rather than luxurious. Would certainly recommend it if someone is just looking for a place to stay for the night."

  "Our place was clean! But that is about all I can say. Furniture and towels are ancient, one needs a magnifying glass to watch the TV! Not even a tiny bar of soap in the bathroom. The owner is very friendly, but unfortunately the apartment is so dated an NO feel of Westcoast to it."
