  "The place is clean and beautiful, the staff is friendly.....but facilities listed are unavailable except swimming pool. We were deeply disappointed because we drove all the way from Gauteng just to find only the pool working.We had dinner our first night, which we did not like. You are not given different options......"

  "Bateleur is very beautiful and extremely cosy. The whole weekend was filled with great ambience and the staff were friendly with great stories to tell .we particularly enjoyed sitting around the bonfire with the staff and other guests. The romantic bush dinner was a real adventure. In closing we had a fantastic weekend ."

  "To spend a weekend in Bateleur Tented Safari Loge is a most relaxing and agreeable experience! We spent the first night in an ordinary tent and the second night in a luxury tent. We would definitely recommend the luxury tent: just so much more beautiful and luxurious and for not a big difference in price. The staff were so friendly and they were really a pleasure to deal with. We enjoyed fully the quietness and peacefulness of the place, and we'll certainly be back."

  "Ons besoekie van een nag was heeltemal te kort! Ons was heerlik bederf deur besonder vriendelike personeel. Boonop baie plesier gehad van 'ons' waghond wat ons deur die nag opgepas het. Baie dankie! Our visit of one night was definitely too short! We were delightfully spoilt by the extremely friendly staff. On top of all this, we were very happy with 'our' watchdog protecting our door for the night."

  "We visited the camp for 2 nights.We had a fabulous time.We went on a photo game drive during the afternoon and enjoyed it! Judas was a fabulous guide.We also went on a night drive.Viewing the stars away from any ambient light was a moment of a lifetime.It was breathtaking and oh so quiet!When we arrived back at camp we were met with a hot toddy and an enjoyable evening around the fire with "hunters" from Pretoria.The "guys" were interesting and we learned a lot about South Africa.We did visit the area that contained the "big five" but totally struck out.We attempted to track a group of elephants and while we heard them in the bush, we never saw them- but it was still amazing!The staff at Bateleur are fantastic.They provided all we needed and more!Great tents, wonderful service, and food. A holiday away from the hustle and bustle.We hope to return someday!"

  "We had a short stay at Bateleur - only for the Easter Weekend. We planned it months ahead of time (in December last year we booked it already) so we could spend the time there to rest with our friends from Cape Town. Sadly one member of this couple had an operation just before and passed away. We had to cancel their stay but we still went. We had a good rest and obviously love the bush thoroughly - so the game drive adds tremendously to the experience! Debby and Theo and their team did a lot to make us feel welcome and fed us almost to death! Food was great and I even got one of their recipes from them! Thanks for a memorable stay!"

  "We had the most wonderful visit to Bateleur.We enjoyed every minute from our arrival with Flippie waiting with cocktails at the gate to our last evening drive with Phillip and then the night drive with the stars almost touching us. We found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the tented accommodation ‘luxury safari ’.We felt as though we had walked onto a film set. Congratulations to Phillip and Jo-Anne on the lovely atmosphere they’ve created.We had some great walks and drives as well.There is some wonderful bush on the property and spectacular views on Rhino land where we had our game drives.Our one suggestion is that there should always be a guide with knowledge of the bush available for the walks and drives.Highly recommended and great value."

  "I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing yet action-packed vacation in Limpopo province, at the northern reaches of South Africa.Staff at Bateleur were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and committed to their guests.The food was superior (my vegetarianism posed no problem for the inventive chefs) and my luxury tent both comfortable and clean.A tiled bathroom with super-hot water was the icing on the cake."
