All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, Dstv, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities and a small bar fridge. Most of the rooms have microwaves & air conditioning.Situated among the towns of Coligny and Mafikeng on the R503, Lichtenburg is mainly a farming town about 200 km west of the major metropolis of Johannesburg. The beautiful little town of Lichtenburg, whose streets are covered with willow trees, began in 1873 but it was the diamond rush that identified Lichtenburg on the map as well as bringing thousands of prospectors to this part of the world in 1920s.The worlds biggest red diamond was found in 1927, well-known as pigeon blood red, it included further weight to the influx of diamond miners to Lichtenburg. This is an incredibly few stone and the claim is that fewer than 20 naturally occurring red diamonds exist today. One can just imagine the price tag attached to each of these.

"This is an awesome place to stay, lovely room, bed so comfortable and a heated blanket for those cold nights. I had access to premises when I wanted no hassles getting in and out and for a lady travelling alone, the unit was safe and secure , will definitely use the establishment again if I am ever in town."

"The pictures are very misleading. The establishment is not very clean and the standard bathroom goodies were not there. They are busy with renovations/upgrading, but still we were very disappointed. The owner/manager was very friendly and breakfast was served in our room, but with no personal choice off the menu. Not the standard we are used to..... Sorry!"
