The guest house has a warm, relaxed feel providing a sense of history and our intimate pub/lounge with open fireplace will be your favorite retreat on cold winter evenings. We offer bed and breakfast and our country cuisine dinners are available on request.
The country town of Lydenburg on the escarpment at the start of the Panorama Route has much to offer including trout fishing, birdwatching, nature reserves, hiking and sports such as golf, bowls and squash. For a more leisurely outing, there are several fine restaurants as well as museums and historical monuments in the area.
Lydenburg is centrally situated en-route to the quaint fishing village of Dullstroom, the breathtaking Long Tom Pass, the beautiful waterfalls and forestry town of Sabie, the historical mining town of Pilgrims Rest and the magnificent view from God's Window over the lowveld.
The Manor Guest House offers a variety of accommodation options. All the rooms are en-suite with separate garden entrances. Each room has a TV with satellite channels , as well as Wi-Fi. We offer four comfortable Double Rooms, eight Deluxe Double Rooms, one Executive Suite and two Luxury Suites.
Enjoy the good weather by relaxing at the poolside and gazebo. There is ample off-street parking, with some undercover parking. You can sleep easy, knowing that our resident nightwatchman will be patrolling the property.
"We lived the welcome and friendliness of the staff. The room is clean..warm and has everything you need. The breakfast is copious and delicious. Highly recommended place to stay in Lydenberg.."

"The Manor Guest House has a lovely garden, house and pool setting - particularly the breakfast nook, where we sat for hours every morning, shooting the breeze over an extended (well prepared) breakfast, because it's so peaceful just sitting there. Unfortunately the position on the main road through the town (Viljoen St) makes it quite noisy from a traffic perspective - particularly since all the trucks and motorbikes seem to come past there - but the haven-like quality of the premises does compensate to a degree. Rooms were nice - not spectacular, but more than adequate, beds were comfortable, staff were friendly and service was good. Overall an enjoyable and recommendable stay. Low-light is the traffic noise. Highlight is the garden, pool area and breakfast. I give it an upper 3-star rating. (I usually find 4 stars to be a little better than this: 3 stars can usually go both ways - either a dismal disappointment, or a lovely surprise - this one this one is definitely the latter, but not quite 4-star quality.)"
