"We spent 4 nights at Daktari and found the cottage very comfortable . The rooms were spacious, the braai boma was delightful, and the fishing was good. We enjoyed the geese and the birds and seeing the how's on the adjacent field. Close enough to shops etc yeto still with a country feel."

"What an absolute gem! Spent one night here and will definitely be back. Loved every moment. Cottage is perfect for a quick weekend break. The host was very accommodating and even allowed us to check out a little later. Woke up to the beautiful sound of the rain and the geese coming past for a visit. Absolute gem!!"

  • "Total Relaxation!"

    20 November 2017

"If you are from Cape Town and want to feel that you've travelled a great distance to escape the madness of the city to recharge your batteries or have a romantic getaway, without actually travelling a great distance, Daktari is your go to place. Daktari is far enough from the main homestead to make you feel isolated. The cottage is clean, comfortable and fully equipped for all your needs (I loved the kitchen!).The highlight for me was listening to the sounds of the geese and birds and watching squirrels cavorting in the nearby trees. Paul is a friendly, laid back host and will make you feel completely at home. I have no doubt we will be back :-)."

  • "Impressive"

"Daktarifarm is one of the best places which we've had the opportunity to stay. Our stay was only for one night but we'll stay there again with our next Cape Town holiday trip. <br />The accommodations are exceptionally generous. Everything which one may need is supplied, from the kitchen to the bedroom and everything in between. <br />There is more than ample room for entertaining a fair crowd around the boma or in the dining room. The natural setting lends itself to tranquillity and we were fortunate enough to see several squirrels, which was an unexpected bonus. <br />This is the perfect base from which to properly explore the surrounding and outlaying areas,&nbsp; join up with family and friends, colleagues and tour groups. <br /><br />"

"We had such a great weekend. The farm is beautiful. Everything we needed in the house was there. We could just go with our food n everything else for self-catering was already there. It was so peaceful, a very spectacular experience. We enjoyed the awesome weather and will most definitely go there again. I would gladly recommend Daktari farm to my family and friends. A huge thanks to Paul, we will see you soon."

"We booked for two nights, but wished to book for a week. The location, the house, the place is perfect. Best value for money. • "Just what we needed"

    15 December 2014

"Our trip was short only three days, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Daktari Farm was great! So peaceful and tranquil, the setting is fantastic. After tiring days it was wonderful to just relax at night here. Husband thoroughly enjoyed being able to do a bit of fishing in the afternoon. The cottage is well laid out, spotlessly clean with everything you could need or want for a self catering get away. Owners were friendly and very helpful, (thanks Paul!) Was a pleasure to stay here and would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10."
