"We really enjoyed our stay at Mabalingwe the house was all i echecked and more. The staff was so amazing shout out to Andre' the game ranger he is so patient and passionate about his job we learnt a lot .I will definitely return with my family to the same house."
"My family had so much fun in this house. It is closer to every thing i.e. Restaurant, Pools etc."
"The hosts should post more pictures of this unit so that potential renters will have a better understanding of exactly what they are renting. If you like me, are not a big fan of hunting and stuffed animals, you might choose to stay elsewhere. There are many stuffed animals including a leopard mounted over the dining room table. The loft room is also not suitable for children as the stairs are very steep and unsafe and the loft wall is so low kids could easily fall over it. The location of the unit within the resort was good but orherwise not the best unit for a family with smaller children."
"House 101 is beautiful, well-appointed, comfortable and convenient in its proximity to the pools and restaurant. We spent most of our time on the upper deck watching the spectacular sunsets and enjoying the birds visiting in the tree tops in the early morning. The house was perfect for a short getaway, close enough to Johannesburg since our time in the country was limited. The only small suggestion we have is to provide a spray bottle of water to deter the monkeys who are bold and clever enough to know what a packet of biscuits looks like, stealing them from under our noses and inviting the rest of their troop to join in the party. Other than that our stay at House 101 was pretty much perfect and we will definitely book there again when we next visit South Africa."
"The house we stayed in was lovely. We enjoyed the peacefulness (and the visits from our new furry friends)"
"Loved everything. Roads are sometimes a little narrow for passing and somewhat eroded in places."
"The house is lovely and very well equipped. It was clean and comfortable. Because of the thatch roof one expects the odd spiderweb here and there but they are 'new' webs not 'old' ones. Gerhard's arrangements with regards to keys and info about the reserve were spot on. We loved absolutely everything except that the house is situated right on the main road where all the traffic and staff going up and down to reception and the other chalets passes right underneath the house and the traffic noise and chatter from the staff detracts from the feeling that one is in the 'bush'. Take a bag of hamster food with you and feed the tame squirrels and birds that come and join one on the deck and DO keep the gates closes as there are warthogs that are used to humans and they can be sweet and funny - but from a distance. We didn't see any of the Big 5 - Make sure to charge your phone and camera and go and have a drink at the Kalahari Oasis bar and visit the dams for sightings of Hippo.I will recommend 101 Mabalingwe to family and friends."
"<p>Myself and 5 friends stayed here a night in early March 2016, it was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and the kitchen well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the braai area and balcony were really nice and relaxing to sit at and look out over the landscape. </p><p>It would have been nice to have a private pool to be honest but the two club house pools were not far down the road (+/- 300 metres) so not a major issue.</p><p>All in all the house was very nice and quiet and private and next time I have a group of people needing to go away I will definitely consider coming back to 101 at Mabalingwe</p>"
"Wonderful stay at such a beautiful well kept private house. Thank you Gerhard for allowing us to make use of your beautiful home, we will definitely be staying here again!"
"Lovely getaway."
