"Very good fishing and good food in beautiful surroundings."
"Food great. Service atrocious. Mpilo is the only quality waiter the hotel has. Overpriced dinner buffet at R245 per person but the portions are terribly small and you are better off ordering from the menu but that was not available as an option. Only the buffet was on offer the whole weekend.Hotel needs maintanance and a revamp.Rooms are nice and spacious"
"I think Kloppenheim is one of the gems of our country. What an incredible place, incredible staff and excellent amenities. A must for everyone to try."
"Beautiful spot in the country side. Very relaxed with lovely views. We stayed in the self catering cottages which were very comfortable and spacious. Would have liked to stay a day to two longer to do all the hiking trails. Only point of improvement - although the staff were very friendly and helpful, we did have a number of miscommunications. Some examples - on arrival, our 6-sleeper unit which we booked for 6 people only had linen and towels for 4 people. We requested additional from housekeeping, and they did arrive, but with only one set of linen...no towels. When I called upfront to ask about the road conditions and best road to take, I got a rundown of the room rates. No train smash, and made up for by the friendly service, but maybe something to address in future training. Love the put put course - just sorry the strong wind wasn't allowing any play that day"
"The chalet that I stayed in , #104, was fantastic. It was spacious, with a gas fire place and a luxury bath and shower. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times.<br/><br/>"
"Had the most luxurious time at Kloppenheim. I asked my grilfriend (Now Fiance) to marry me. They made it so special for us, it is something that we will never forget. Thank you for a wonderful weekend."
"<p class="MsoNormal">We stayed in Unit 205 over Easter 2015. Fantastic accommodation for a family of 4, offering great value for money. It is the ideal venue for a quiet family breakaway. Entrance to the estate looks a little tatty though and requires a lick of paint.</p>"
"What a lovely spot-so sorry we only spent one night in the self catering chalets. The underfloor heating and gas fireplace kept us super warm and dinner at the pub was great. Just a pity the hotel was almost empty. Would definitely return."
"We had a lovely time; the unit was clean, well furnished, comfortable and warm. The under floor heating and bathroom heaters make it a pleasure in the cold weather. It was lovely to sit in the sunny bay window and look out at the stunning view. There is a gas braai on the patio. The staff were efficient and friendly. The unit was spotless and serviced daily. I would definitely go back. The only disappointment was dinner at the hotel; it was possibly the worst meal we have eaten. Not good value at R180.00 pp for cold vegetable soup, dry pork loin with a "dodgy" sauce and spaghetti, followed by soggy sponge cake (meant to be apple pie) with runny, oversweet custard!
