  "A lovely farmstyle accommodation on the outskirts of Maclear, with very comfortable rooms and extremely hospitable hosts. Ample parking, all facilities needed, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The self catering facilities shared by guests is also excellent, with stunning views across the valley and onto the mountains."

  "Think people should be advised that the dirt road is awful especially when arriving at night ! Driving at 15 km an hour us not fun when you have been on the road all day! The establishment is ok but very antiquated. The managing couple were however superb & a credit to this business!"

  "Getting to Fairbairn off the R56 takes some time as the road isn't too good but our small car had no problem as we took it slowly. The drive was well worth it: utter tranquility and an old-world charm to both house and farm-style dinner. Our little dog also loved the place. Host Ebenezer is a major plus too!"

  "The approach road is really only suitable for a 4X4. Eskom power outage on the day marred our stay. Dinner consisted of good and plentiful food, but still a little overpriced for a one-course meal.The room was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom had modern fittings."

  "The accommodation you selected was excellent and the few kilometres on the "unsealed road" was worth it just to have the truly worthwhile experience of spending a night at the Fairburn Farm Guest House. We had a superb braai cooked in our presence by a very enthusiastic young man from whom we gleaned a lot of information about the area."
