• "Wrong unit"

  "I was booked into the wrong chalet and the owner could not move us into the correct 1 coz she said it was booked for sunday morning, we were checking out sunday so she cud hv done it but she gave excuses and said she did not hv staff 2 clean de unit whn we check out n den she also said de guests were coming in very early in the morning, however when we left de unit was still empty.The lady advised that her establishment was a bit quiet and was jst picking up, so I guess she deliberately checked us into a smaller chalet coz of the discounted price we paid from safarinow. Which I feel has nothing to do with me but was b2n her and safari now.The place is beautiful, peaceful n quiet, they just need 2 install tv sets in the unit and check guests into correct units."

  "What a refreshing stay, ideal getaway to reconnect with your loved ones. I came with my partner and 3 months baby, we thought there would be lots of bugs and mosquitoes so we came with a doom and a bug lotion only to find a pleasant atmosphere with not much insects, we didn't even use the lotion. Thank you so much for a lovely time, we are definitely coming again ..."

  "<p>We spent a week at Big Creek , on arrival we were worried that it seems there's not much to do however it was glorious, we really spent a lotof qualityfamily time. It was so relaxing and refreshing.</p><p>The kids fished and we had a great familybike rides and walksup the mountain and around the beautiful property.</p><p>The owners and staff are all so friendly and helpful.</p><p></p><p>Really a great place to just relax and get in touch with your family yourself and nature.</p>"

  "I just want to thank Arno at Big Creek Lodge. Me and my husband enjoyed our stay. We had an awesome time there. We enjoyed the log cabin very much. We also enjoyed our swim in the small pool. The big bed was also very comfortable. At night we made a fire and had a nice braai. I asked Arno for some fire wood and when we got at our cabin, it was already on the braai. The cabin was very neat and clean. Tank you for your hospitality,"

  "Had a pleasant stay at Big Creek this past weekend. Arno is very helpful and always on hand for any assistance which is great. The chalets are clean and the view of the mountains is beautiful. Only thing is that I would advise Arno to possibly install a kid's park/ jungle gym, this lodge is very family friendly but with only the pool to keep the kids busy it's quite a challenge to keep them entertained. Thanks."

  "We had a very pleasant stay at Big Creek Guest Lodge. With my partner having breast cancer, she just needed some quite rest away from everything and Big Creek was perfect. The cabin was very clean and neat, the first place we stayed in a long time that doesn't have spiders under the bed. We really enjoyed every moment there. Thank you to the owner, Thomas was also very friendly and helpful with two lady's getting lost on the road the whole time. Thank you to everyone at Big Creek Guest Lodge, we will most certainly return for more relaxing rest at your Lodge."

  "10 out of 10 for the rooms being clean. We had the family unit - I was expecting something similar to the pictures on this website but we got 2 interleading rooms, with a view of the wall separating us from the pub. You enter into the one room which serves as a bedroom and kitchen, with the second room leading off from the kitchen side, and 2 single beds in each room. there is no space for a table/ chairs (2 barstools and high table present) so we ate sitting on the beds because it was too cold to sit outside - which had a table but only 2 chairs. this would be awkward for a family of 4, for sure. there were no oven or microwavable dishes. Not sure if this is not done anymore but there was no soap to wash your hands in the bathroom. the hosts were friendly. For the price we paid, this was not really what I was expecting. Not a place to relax for the day. Its great if you want a clean place with friendly hosts to sleep, shower and head out."

  "Relaxing, peaceful, quiet. There was ample hot water, little things like a wine opener and diswashing liquid were thought of. They even had the aircon on so we arrived to a cool cabin which was lovely. We had a drink with Arno in the bar, he's a wonderful host. Will definitely return. Thank you."
