  "The restaurant under the trees with the French singer entertaining us was lovely. The rooms are well-equipped and the view of the mountains and pool was lovely. The food was good and wholesome. I also love the two ginger cats."

  "From the start we were blown away. The whole establishment is covered by trees. Breathtakingly beautiful. Peace and quite, the ideal place to unwind. 5 star food and service. Every single person from the cleaning lady, the waiters, the managers and the owners was so accommodating, so down to earth and friendly. The entertainment over the weekend, Phillipe with his french songs added to the relaxed, tranquil environment. Will definitely recommend and return there myself. Thumbs up to the team of Die Ou Pastorie!!!"

  "The room was comfortable with a very efficient air conditioner in the summer heat of the high 30s. The small swimming pool was set against a rockery with a waterfall which unfortunately didn't work. Breakfast choices were excellent and we enjoyed having it in the garden in the shade of old indigenous trees."

  "<p>We had booked a hot air balloon ride at Bill Harrops Balloon Safari and didn't fancy the idea of getting up too early to drive there for the sunrise flight so decided to look for accommodation close to the Balloon launch field.</p><p>How lucky we were to discover that not only was Die Ou Pastorie a popular eating place but that it also provided accommodation andis a mere 3 minute drive from Bill Harrop.</p><p>We were warmly welcomed by Marianne and taken to our room which was spotless and of a good size. We were a bit worried that we would be verycoldas it is mid winter and the weather bureau toldus to expect minus zero temperatures at night.There was no need to worry asan electric blanket was on the bed and a wall heater ensured that we would be warm.</p><p>We also booked to eat at the restaurant for all our meals as well as booking for theAtmosferic Jazz trio who performed in the garden restaurant area on the Saturday afternoon. They were really great, as was the food.</p><p>I would highly recommend Die Ou Pastorie for a weekend getaway.</p><p>Susan, the owner is the most delightfully warm person who went our of her way to make us feel extra special, and her partner Andre was exceptional. We could have chatted to him forever.</p><p>I would highly recommend this venue for a weekend getaway, and I was told by Susan that they can cater for small functions. </p><p>Lovely, lovely, Lovely!</p>"

  "We had a thoroughly enjoyable Friday night stay at "Die Ou Pastorie". We found the tranquility that we were looking for (some road noise though) and enjoyed our meal at the restaurant. The perfect place to stay if you have a hot-air balloon trip planned for early the morning."
