  • "Kwa Manzi"

    29 November 2013

"Very peaceful and the animals are cute. Chalet not ready and owners not even aware of our booking when we arrived. Put us in another chalet. Fridge didn't work and sheets were stained. Needed a good clean. Enjoyed our stay though. Animals and location great."

  • "Good host"

    14 January 2013

"Our family had a lovely time away at Kwa Manzi. Our 6 year old daugter was most impressed with the farm animals: goats, ducks, pigs, chickens, horses and geese. It was just what we needed, a rustic get away. Thank you Craig for being such a good host."

  • "Rather skip this one"

    31 December 2012

"On booking, the owners require you to sign a form where you agree that they won't give you a refund under any circumstances. This should have been the first warning. Problems; The taps were broken and the base of the toilet was shattered, for a lack of a better word. It did not look safe to sit on. The toilet seat looked so grimy my wife refused to sit on it. Then there was the bathroom door. There simply wasn't one. Let me repeat that, there was no bathroom door in a more or less open plan cottage. The sink and the shower looked dirty and covered with mildew. The bathroom towels smelled musky and off. The bedroom. The bedding smelled like old sweat and body-odor and there was dust and cobwebs throughout the whole unit. The furniture in living-room looked stained and dirty as well. Outside, the pool was green and murky. The units where also so close together that you could actually hear your neighbors having conversations and hear their radios well into the night. If you're looking for accommodation in Magaliesburg, I'd recommend going someplace else."

    31 August 2012

"The visit was serene, tranquil and exactly what we needed. The privacy was good because it seemed that we were the only one on the property as there was absolute no disturbance. I am going to visit again later with the kids for a family outing. The place is also close to a lot of activities."

  • "Our stay at Kwa Manzi"

    13 August 2012

"We have a good time but hot water for bathing was not enough to cover all of us. The path/road to the farm gate is a bit scary especially the bridge. We were not impressed with the room service as well."

  • "Very relaxing"

    10 April 2012

"I had an awesome, relaxing time at Kwa Manzi. Thank you so much. I would like to come back some time. Just a pity there was no horse riding and the cottages were a bit too close to each other. I would love to stay in the Aloe Cottage next time! Thank you again."

  • "Back to nature"

    11 July 2011

"Lovely weekend getaway - our host, Craig, was very friendly and all the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The units were clean, spacious and had ample cupboards and all necessary utensils, appliances etc. Peaceful surroundings with all sorts of farm animals roaming around, really back to nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially our children, who asked to stay another night. The electric blanket and fireplace were just perfect for those cold evenings. Will definitely return during the summertime and have a braai next to the river!"

"This place have a farm atmosphere and it is nice to have all sorts of animals roaming around your cottages. I was surprised when a goat was in the sitting room waiting for attention.Liz is a wonderful hostess and a down to earth person which made us feel most welcome. The wake up to bird song in the morning was very nice and not to talk about the beautiful sunsets."

  • "Great for toddlers"

    29 September 2010

"The farm was fantastic for my daughter. It was amazing to see her so comfortable and carefree in that environment with all the animals. For the unit that we stayed in, the price is over-rated. The description and photos of the unit and the reality of what we got is totally different, and very disappointing."

  • "Stay at Kwa Manzi"

    04 January 2010

  • "TLC needed"

    14 April 2008

"it was lovely an quiet , however the unit was falling apart. Paint peeling from the shower floor blocked the drains ,towel rails kept falling offf the wall .There was no toilet roll holder and one bathroom door did not close. I the kitchen we had to remove a cabinet door as it kept becoming unscrewed . I do think its a good idea to leave guests a mop and broom as our unit became very muddy due to all the rain , and we had no way of cleaning it up. My kids did enjoy the pool .Reply recieved from Establishment:With regards to the comment from the guest, there is no paint in the shower or on the floor it is all natural products used, we have found that from time to time guests use the towel rails as leaning posts and are constantly fixing it. The toilet holder is not on the wall but part of the toilet stick which stands next to the loo. All the things that the guest has mentioned it just a little TLC which need to take place every now and then. That's why I stay in the units every sec week.Chantal, Kwa Manzi Guest Farm"

  • "Recommendable"

    04 January 2008

"Three days was really just too short - we had just started to really relax and unwind when we had to leave the tranquility of the farm and return to the hustle and bustle of city life. The absolute peace and quiet is what we appreciated the most - even the youngsters! The sunrises are awesome and the sunsets are spectacular.Pine Cottage comfortably accommodated 6 adults, was clean and tidy and the staff are really very friendly and willing to assist when and where necessary.Kwa Manzi is recommended and we WILL be visiting... again... and again... and again...!!!"
