  • "Peaceful country environment - beautiful gardens,"

    14 September 2020

"the lodge served the purpose, however, the shower - which is a gas mixer - does not work properly. i have mentioned to owner, it changes the temp from scalding hot to icy cold all by itself. the unit also had a terrible smell in the mornings from the kitchen area - either sewer or similar that lingers in the air - until you open up windows and doors. not a pleasant smell t wake up to. beside the 2 improvements - this place was lovely."

"I have seen caretakers but Riah is not making one of the best. You don't really feel relax since the rules are about paying this and that. You always making sure you don't make mistakes. So to me I can not refer it to anyone. You don't feel holiday"

"Beautiful resort so close to Johannesburg. Nice size not to many chalets very spacious with everything that you need. It was just perfect, the gardens are absolutely gorgeous with lots of benches to just sit, relax and admire the scenery. So peaceful. Would go again and this time take my grandchildren with."

  • "Incredible place to be."

    18 December 2017

"2017/12/18, 1:02:56 PM: Lihle: I enjoyed thee aesthetics and watching the animals . After a busy year in the city with all the infrastructures and busy roads ... It's an amazing experience to sit back and enjoy mother nature and it's serenity as offered by the lodge . Waking up to the sound of birds singing, taking walks through the garden . A dip in the pool while surrounded by Magalies beauty in Lokuthula was undescribable. However the DStv decoder was switched off when we got and was on for one day as the next it was off again , would be nice to have unlimited dstv channels and I recommend WiFi especially with the beautiful aesthetics we would love to post about on social media. The shower water quickly get cold , a better geyser would be lovely. The stay was refreshingly healing however especially if you are in the big city and trying to indulge in Mother nature and be away from the city and it's pollution and near the Zebras, birds , bucks , plants and revitalizing air , Lokuthula is the place to be. I was with my two kids they just loved it there."

  • "Nice for a few days"

    24 March 2014

"The grounds are lovely and we were able to see zebra, wildebeest, ostriches and springbok on the neighbouring land. They very helpfully added a single bed for our small son. It's recommended to bring bottled water with you.We found it a bit unnerving that there was a risk of being locked out in the evening - you need to arrange in advance if you'll be back after dark and the owners aren't around all that much to arrange this with, but can be called. Eating in is easier."

    13 January 2014

"The lodge is beautiful and We enjoyed our stay. Our 2 year old son loved the animals and the pool area. We had difficulty finding the lodge from the main road(R563); there were no signs with the name of the lodge compared to other lodges in the area."

"Awesome stay I had with my partner. The tranquility of the place just perfect to forget the busy life of the city. Loved how everything was thought of with regards to the catering. Everything that u needed was at your fingertips. The chalets and everything inside made you forget that you're still at the lodge. I would be lying if I said we didn't enjoy our stay. I recommend this 100% - to anyone."

  • "Very comfortable overnight stay"

    11 February 2013

"My room at Lokuthula was very comfortable and spotlessly cleaned and maintained. All equipment and facilities appeared to be brand new and I had everything I needed. Reception and organisation by Ria was most hospitable and Willem's trouble in assisting with late arrival was friendly and really convenient. Incredible value for money. I would recommend the place to anyone."
