Situated in easy reach of the World Heritage Site, the Cradle of Mankind, this thatched guest house is an ideal getaway from the busy city life.

The inn offers 14 luxury en-suite rooms with TV's. Towels, soaps, cream and shampoo are supplied and the rooms are equipped with phones and tea and coffee facilities.

A restaurant is located on the property and offers menu's to suit all budgets, from brunch to dinner. The air-conditioned conference room is equipped with flip charts, a whiteboard, a TV and AV equipment, a computer with Internet access, a telephone, an overhead projector, pens and scrap paper.

All your needs are catered for when it comes to your wedding for up to 100 guests. The cosy bar offers a warm atmosphere with a fireplace in the winter months.

Swallows Inn also has a sparkling swimming pool, a Jacuzzi and a sauna to relax in. For the more active we have a giant chess set, volleyball facilities and a trampoline.

The games room includes a pool table, card games, darts and dominoes. Guests can enjoy lovely walks and do some birdwatching. Small game like blesbok can be seen.

Game drives, hiking and horse riding can be organized in the nearby area. Swallows Inn is child and wheelchair friendly.

"Very pretty place, friendly and convenient for visiting the sights in the area. Tv badly positioned in the top corner of the room and remotes didn't work."

"The food was cold - some overcooked, some undercooked. No shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Bathroom cupboard falling apart. No TV. Asked and paid for 2 rooms, was given family room with 2 bedrooms instead. I cannot recommend this place at all."

"Was 14, 15 Jan 2017 ingeboek by Swallows in. Dit is n netjiese plekkie met n rustige atmosfeer. Kamers was skoon. Die tuin was mooi groen na die reen. Die waarnemende personeel was baie gasvry en die ontbyd was lekker. Sal graag weer gaan!"

"Ons het een nag oorgebly en het dit baie geniet. Al die personeel het hulle bes gedoen om dit vir ons gemaklik te maak. Hulle is vriendelik en bedagsaam. Die ontbyt was heerlik.Die plek doen sy naam gestand met al die pragtige swaeltjies wat daar rondvlieg en hulle modderhuisie onder al wat 'n dak is bou. Baie dankie!"
