Valley Lodge and Spa, an award winning 4-Star hotel nestled in the historic Magaliesburg Valley, is a glorious blend of time-honoured traditions and modern hospitality. The professional and welcoming staff, extensive grounds interlaced with rivers and streams, and indigenous vegetation with abundant animal and bird life, make this peaceful venue the ideal escape for any occasion.

A total of 76 luxuriously refurbished rooms and suites, are available in three room categories. All accommodation has either one king-size bed or twin beds. Each room is furnished with a dressing table and chair, coffee table, an electronic safe and a flat screen TV with selected satellite channels.

All rooms are individually air-conditioned, equipped with under-floor heating in the bathrooms, electric blankets on the beds, tea and coffee stations as well as mini-bar fridges, which are stocked upon request. Outdoor furniture is provided on all terraces and verandas, and rooms have limited internet access.

Valley Lodge & Spa offer a stunning setting in which to host a wide range of events, covering everything from an incentive group to a corporate conference and smaller board meetings. There are experienced co-ordinators who are able to assist in planning any event with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.

In conjunction with the services offered, there are many other activities which guests can participate in. Activities include croquet, volleyball, fly fishing, walking trails and boating on the river.

"Facility is old, but numerous upgrades can be seen and experienced. The spa is rediculously expensive and it feels that you as a guest are exploited. (R250 pp to swim in indoor pool).The food and drinks, and swimming pool area is very nice and worth the visit. The tame wild-animals walking on the grounds are a nice touch!"

"What a great place to stay. We were upgraded for no reason, whatsoever. The staff were wonderful. We played tennis, hiking, played pool, darts (had a games evening) and soaked up the sun by the pool. We watched the zebras from our room and had delicious oven-baked pizzas. Thanks for a great time and keep it up"

"The facilities offered at Valley Lodge and Spa are exactly what you would expect from a 4 star establishment.<div><br /></div><div>The main reason for me making the booking was in order for me and my partner to "take a break" from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peaceful time together.</div><div><br /></div><div>This was not the case, as our unit was right next door to the Boma, where a function was held and the patrons of the function made sure that we felt we were staying next to a club in the city.</div><div>When i complained to the front desk, i was told that the noise policy stated that noise could be made til 12pm (i checked and no where in all the communication we were given did it state this).</div><div>Needless to say, this made for a very late and unpleasant night.</div>"
