Bhuba Bush Lodge is home in the land of litchis, bananas and mangoes, situated just below the Albasini Dam in Louis Trichardt.
The lodge has beautiful and modern, fully air-conditioned rooms in traditional Rondavals, a Guest House and Two-sleeper Bedrooms which can collectively accommodate up to 70 people. One can lounge by the pool or under a lapa as you watch the sun set over the dam's calm waters, while you shelter in the shadow of the Indigo Mountains.
The Albasini Dam offers excellent fishing while the surrounding area has great hiking trails in the lush vegetation. Named after the trader Joao Albasini who established routes from Mozambique to the Lowveld in 1800, the route is now known as the N1 and runs right through the town of Louis Trichardt; this makes it an important commercial, industrial and residential area in this part of the country, which is no surprise as it is known as the Gateway to Africa.
