  "Room was great. Loved the garden and view of the bush and mountains.Wait staff were very friendly but could be better trained, and the lady in charge also seemed to neglect things: e.g. there was still a plate of prawn shells on our table, while we were having dessert. One does not want the smell of fish while having dessert."

  "Enjoyed our weekend here as a launching point for day trips to kruger. The family room was quite spacious and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The outside area was a quiet and appealing place to watch the animals come down to the river. Elephant encounters were common including an elephant pass by literally meters from the restaurant. Food was also quite good. My only recommendation would be to extend the wifi from the common areas to the lodge rooms. Highly recommend"

  "Just outside the Malelane Kruger gate, this spot was a pleasant stop over. Affordable, clean and comfortable. On the first night we had drinks at the deck restaurant and saw elephants grazing underneath us as we sipped our drinks."

  "Stayed for 3 nights at this establishment. Picture perfect close to nature and very neat. The Kruger Park and town is close by which makes this a perfect location. The Deck Restaurant next to the river is excellent for game viewing while enjoying a sundowner or meal.   "We had a lovely overnight stay at this resort. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We had a superb breakfast and dinner at the restaurant which has a beautiful view over the Crocodile river. Highly recommended for overnight or longer. We will certainly be going back for a longer period."

We made a last minute booking due to unforeseen circumstances and our request for availability was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Thank you to Anita for showing care and concern to all the guests by greeting and chatting. We'll definitely recommend the accommodation to friends and would love to come stay again in future."

  "First the good points: Rio Vista is located on the banks of the Crocodile River overlooking the Kruger Park and offers the possibility of seeing wildlife from The Deck Restaurant - which we thoroughly enjoyed. It is also about 10 minutes away from the Malelane Gate to the KNP. The rooms are well-appointed and have good facilities. Our stay was however spoilt by the dirtiness of the rooms and the corridors. It appears that the only "cleaning" that is ever done is making up the beds and changing the towels, I don't think anyone ever checks if the rooms have been properly cleaned. The carpets and floors were dirty, the balcony was never cleaned in the 3 days we spent there, and the list goes on. I would gladly have given Rio Vista 4 or maybe 4 and half stars, but I can't."
