"The decor and bedding is very out dated"
"We stayed in Clapton no 7 from 23 December 2017 and left early on 2 January 2018. In short, if we could have found alternative accommodation we would not have stayed even the first night. The house keeping team is doing their best to keep the place liveable, and basically the only positive aspect of the unit was the clean bedding and towels. The unit and the is old, appears run down and in dire need for an upgrade. The lounge furniture is old and worn. The cold water taps both in the bathroom basins upstairs and down in the guest toilet had no water. The fridge door fell off (repeatedly) and the dustbin lid was broken. The unit also reeked of old tabacco smoke and it took us two days of intensive anti-tabacco spray to get rid of the smell. The above was also reported to the house keeping manager, and they were willing to address the cold water taps and fridge door but we opted not to spend any more holiday time for maintenance work to be done. For just short of R2K a day we expected much better."
