  "Firstly the staff is so welcoming, it felt like I had been there for a week and it was only my first day there. Secondly the Luxury Chalets are to die for, such comfort and privacy, I loooved it. Thirdly the game drive was FANTASTIC, the guy who drove us (Lenford) was a great pleasure, he had us going ohhh and ahhh throughout our drive. forthly but not least, the FOOD was delicious, perferct setting and all in all, my partner and I had a blissful weekend getaway and we are DEFINITELY going back."

  "Excellent hospitality from Leon and Doctor through to guides Arnoux as well as staff Sabello and Florence. We felt very welcome by everyone and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lower Sabie area via the Crocodile Bridge entrance was definitely the 'hot spot' for sighting wildlife. 4 star cost and a 5 star experience. The road in and out of the lodge could use (needs) some help which would make for much more enjoyable trips to and from the park. P.S. - the meals were excellent and accommodations clean. A great start to our 5 week South African holiday."

  "Words can not describe just how fantastic our stay at the Grand Kruger Lodge was (but i'll try!). We absolutely loved this place. We stayed 4 nights here and were sad to leave. Leon and his staff were very helpful, friendly and made us feel more like family than guests. The safari drives were amazing. The guides are clearly wildlife enthusiasts and their knowledge on the animals is incredible. The highlight of our stay was a guided bush walk. The lodge is set deep in the bush and as such, there are animals wandering close by going about their business. We got up close to zebra, kudu, impala, bush bucks, lizards and wart hogs. We stayed in a lodge house set away from the main lodge and was very quiet, relaxing and comfy. Perfect. The food is very plentiful and tasty and can be served inside or out. The Grand Kruger Lodge is a special place and is awesome value for money. I can't recommend this place highly enough."

They went out of their way to find game when difficult wind conditions and lush growth kept many animals out of site.Perhaps sitings would have been better at a drier time of year.The 30 minutes drive to Crocodile Bridge Gate entrance into Kruger along dirt roads could be considered a disadvantage but this must be weighed up against much higher costs of staying inside Kruger at a similar establishment.Facilities and service could not be faulted however.Bush Camp accommodation was terrific and great value."

  "The lodge is a fantastic place to stay and the accommodation and staff are very good indeed. The most memorable thing is the feeding of the Warthogs, Zebra, and Kudu just off the veranda...you get to see these wild animals come to within two feet of where you are having your meals.I found the food very good with enough selection each evening to accommodate most tastes. The swimming pool looks small, but it still very refreshing during the heat of the day, and my two year old and I spent quite a few hours in it splashing around. If I have any suggestions for improvement, it will only be for better signage on the rough track (approx 2kms from the tarmac) towards the lodge to reassure incoming guests they are not yet totally lost. We did not take any of the safari trek outs, but talking with the guides would give me confidence that if you do take the tour, you would be in safe and experienced hands.All in all, we had a very positive experience staying at this out of the way lodge"

  "A note to thank you and the staff at Grand Kruger Lodge for everything that you provided Joe and I during our stay.Please accept our sincere thanks for a superb, enjoyable, comfortable and interesting week in your care. Special thanks to Arnoux,who keptus informed and ensured our comfort on game drives, picnics and in the lounge bar. Not to mention having tracked down each of the Big 5 for us before lunch-time on our first day! Doctor, Angel and Lucky all did a great job and were always on hand to assist, I can’t think of anywhere else we’ve been where we were made to feel more at home. The accommodation and food were first rate - testament to the high quality package you obviously seek to provide to your guests. On the days when we just chilled out, breakfasting in the company of warthogs, zebra, niyala, impala, monkeys and birds was a new and pleasant experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the game drive from Crocodile Bridge gate (and breakfast with a view of the hippos and crocs at Lower Sabie) and the experience of walking in the Kruger (stalking a pair of white rhino, for crying out loud!). The Sunset drive along the Marloth / Kruger fence and the picnic supper, set up by Arnoux, were picture-postcard stuff and brilliantly capped our second major lion sighting.As to other activities, the people at the (Swazi) Cultural Experience need to be told that the contented crocodile in the pool next to village restaurant should get a mention. I’ve told all of my friends about the Grand Kruger Lodge and, would like to think that some of them will pay you a visit - perhaps around the time of next year’s Comrades ultramarathon whena number of us will be back in South Africa. Good luck with the planned extension to the lodge facilities and I hope that business is as good as it deserves to be. Both Joe and I wish each of you all the very best for the future."

  "We have just finished our 'FAMILY' World Holiday....and our last stop was South Africa, at the 'Grand Kruger Lodge'. We only had four days there.....WHAT A MISTAKE.......WE NEEDEDFOUR WEEKS!!! On our arrival, we where greeted by absolutely, wonderful, friendly and happy staff. The entrance to the Lodge, is exactly what we thought our experience would be....A TRUE AFRICAN HOLIDAY...AND WE WILL BE DEFINATELY GOING BACK NEXT YEAR (IF I had my way I would have Never left....but as my husband Alex says...all good things must come to and end.....WHAT A SHAME) Oh, and the food...what can I say....what was offered was absolutely filling, well prepapered, tasty and heaps to choose from. Leon ( the owner) is a TRUE GENTLEMAN... Alex, Sean, Tara and I now think of him, (and Andrae, our guide....oh, by the way he LOVES...LANDROVERS....he, he, just a little joke between us ...) We now think of them as Friends and GREAT MATES.... It's true, this is how they made us feel.We're hooked....Our accomodation was excellent and absolutely clean...   "Leon and his staff provided a wonderful, personalized experience during our stay at Grand Kruger Lodge.The food was exquisite (Mozambican prawns!) and the variety of wildlife both at the Lodge and in the Kruger Park itself was awesome. The highlight had to be on our final day's safari, when we saw all the Big Five within the first hour of the drive, including a pair of leopards in a tree and a pride of lions attempting a kill within 20 meters of our vehicle (the impala got away that time!). We highly recommend Grand Kruger for anyone wanting to experience the African Bush Country."
