A lovely three-bedroom, fully air-conditioned house with splash pool and a four poster bed. It has a large viewing deck with a built-in barbecue where you are able to watch animals including zebra, warthog, various antelope, monkeys and many more in the garden.
We have tried to think of everything a family or a group of friends could need. There is full deck furniture with a dining table with eight chairs for all fresco living so that you can listen to the lions roaring and hippos grunting from inside the Kruger National Park while you dine.
The house is only a 100 metres from the Crocodile River and a 15 minute drive from the Crocodile Gate entrance into Kruger Park. The house is serviced once a week with a full linen change. A minimum stay of three nights is required.
There are also several nice restaurants in Marloth Park only a couple of minutes drive from the house. Guided game viewing, bike hire and fishing trips are locally available as are rafting, hot air ballooning, microlight flights and cultural tribal visits. There are several lovely golf courses nearby and full supermarket facilities at Melalane and Komatipoort. Where else can you safely walk amongst plains game and view the Big Five on foot through the Kruger electric fence? The house is connected to a security service with a rapid armed response team.
"We loved the convenience of the air conditioners. most days were 40 degrees so the little pool and the air-con was a winner. Inside the house is comfortable with all you need and the deck upstairs was lovely to have sun downers on with a braai later!"
"Thank you Jim for the use of your lovely home! So much space, neat, clean and tidy with everything a family needs. We saw lots of animals, and every visit to the Crocodile River was met with seeing elephants, rhino and buck. We had a wonderful break."
"Thank you, Jim, for a wonderful stay at your house in Marlothpark. Your place is absolutely beautiful, fully equipped, clean and very well maintained. We were fortunate to see several wild animals literally on our doorstep, while the sound of hippo's and lions roaring added to the magical atmosphere at night. We are looking forward to our next stay at Hakuna Matata. Regards. Hendri and Melissa McCabe - Lydenburg"
"The house is beautiful and so spacious we loved every moment. Everything very neat and new. Thank you!"
"great facility and close to Kruger"
"Thank you we will definitely be back. The house was amazing and had everything. The upstairs was an awesome braaing facilty with resident bush babies and bush buck that visited us every night. Very nicely furnished. This is a true Gem. Can't wait to go back."
"GREAT RENOVATIONS AND CHANGES"
"What a lovely place. Thank you. If at all possible could the knives be sharpened? Also the Cutlery knives? All was wonderful. Thank you"
"Walking distance from the Crocodile River, nice and spacious, great social area on patio upstairs."
"Did not enjoy at all. There was no privacy due to work on the thatched roof. Couldn't swim because of workers Saturday the whole day. We couldn't even stay there for the day. So what is the use of getting a place with a swimming pool if you have to go somewhere else. <br/>The room with the single beds smelled like baby poo. The floors were not clean. Bird boo on top floor. Isn't there a cleaning service that makes sure everything is in order before guests arrive?"
"We stayed at Hakuna Matata for the long weekend. The house was absolutely stunning!! It had all the facilities we needed and was super comfortable. The views were awesome and we had some animals come visit everyday, which the kids loved. It was just 20 minutes from the kruger gate which was awesome. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend Hakuna Matata. We loved our stay."
"My family had an awesome week staying at Hakuna Matata. The arrangements was perfect, even the Kudu bull that welcomed us on our arrival.<div>Hakuna Matata is a great house, very neat, comfortable with ample space. Our favourite spot was braaiing on the stoep looking out on the area around us.</div><div>Thank you for a wonderful time.</div><div>Hope to visit soon.</div><div>Sanette</div>"
"Lovely luxury furnished place in the bush with local animals paying frequent visits to our doors and surrounding bushveld.Kruger Park (Crocodile Bridge) is an easy 30 min drive from here. With the exception of a few issues not being seen to prior to our visit, an enjoyable and comfortable stay was had by all."
"I have been to Marloth a lot of times and always had a good time, cheap linnen etc. Hakuna Matata! No worries! The best holiday house EVER! Quality linen, beautiful layout, spacious and the interior decorating scores 10/10.I never thought that a R1000 per night could buy this quality, in the middle of the bush. Try it! you will not be disappointed!"
"We enjoyed out stay at Hakuna Matata and would use it again in future. It was spacious for the six of us and it was very neat."
"We spent 3 nights at the house and enjoyed the comfortable ambience and all the conveniences of home. The upstairs verandah was a favourite hang-out for the entire family, and the evenings spent firing up the braai, cooking, eating and socialising - while hearing hippos and lions from across the Crocodile River in the Kruger Park were great. Also the close proximity to the Crocodile Bridge (15 minutes away) gate into the Kruger Park was well taken advantage of."
"Very nice spacious holiday home with nice facilities. We suggest the following receives attention:Ensure guests are able to book in at 13:00 as per reservation confirmation (we were not able to do so). Cleaning of the braai area (we had to clean the braai area).Cleaning of swimming pool (we were unable to use swimming pool). We could not access washing facilities and had no response in trying to query this.Oven was very dirty."
"The place was beautiful and we enjoyed it. We were disappointed that the pool was dirty and was only cleaned the night before our departure. All in all awesome time was experienced by all."
"Perfectly located within Marloth Park, this spacious house is equally perfect for those that want to travel into Kruger Park, and those that just need to chillax on the huge upstairs veranda. I will certainly return."
"Absolutely loved our stay there. Would recommend it to my friends and family and will definitely be back. Very peaceful and heard lions from the kruger every night! The balcony is where you want to relax most of the time!"
"Hakuna Matata is beautiful and makes you feel right at home. Equipped with everything you may need to make your stay comfortable. The sounds of the hippos in the Crocodile River and the lions in the Lion Park is beautiful while sitting on the deck with a fire. Thank you for this experience. I will surely recommend this to all my friends and family."
"Excellent location in Marloth Park - very close to Crocodile River with easy access to Kruger Reserve. Beautiful property with wildlife right on your doorstep. Couldn't ask for more. Stayed three nights, but would have liked to have stayed longer."
"We were there over christmas and had a fabulous time. Nick has put in a lot of effort to make it comfortable and everything was neat when we got there. Six days flew past and regrettably we had to go, but the place will see us again. Thanks Jim for sharing your beautiful home."
"FIRST CLASS ..........FANTASTIC LOCATION , GREAT HOUSE, GREAT PEOPLE , IN RETROSPECT I WISH WE HAD HIRED IT FOR THREE WEEKS........NEXT YEAR ????? THANK YOU"
