Jackalberry Ridge by Dream Resorts

Jackalberry Ridge offers guests comfortable tented accommodation in Marloth Park on the southern border of the Kruger National Park near the Crocodile Bridge Gate.

This luxury tented camp has all the characteristics of the African Safari of years gone by. Together with their brown and khaki shading and wooden floors, the tents create a cosy and romantic atmosphere. Each tent is comfortably furnished with a king-size bed and sleeper couches, while the bigger tents also have single beds that can be converted to double beds.

Rooms also have fans and mosquito nets for your comfort. Bathrooms are en-suite or shared with either a bath or a shower or both. All tents have electricity and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering and guests can relax in a private lounge or cool down in the splash pool.

The playground will keep the children entertained and each tent has a braai area and covered parking. For your convenience, the tents are serviced daily.

Whilst staying at Jackalberry Ridge, you have the pleasure of viewing 1700 types of game from the comfort of your own viewing deck, or enjoy the thrill of walking along the Crocodile River while hippos and elephants drink water.

Jackalberry Ridge is less than a five-hour drive from Johannesburg, making it ideal for a weekend getaway. Experience the true ambiance of Africa in the privacy of your own bush lapa with the roar of lions or the laughter of a hyena in the background.

"Die karevaan staanplek is fantasties. Die badkamer en buitestort is puik. Die groot geboude afdak kan miskien kleiner gemaak word sodat julle meer staanplekke kan ontwikkel. Julle het 'n wonderlike plek. Die besoeke van die wild by die kampplek, is so besonders. Skoonmaak vir puik."

"Very roomy and comfortable tents. Had different types of buck outside the tent camp every morning. Staff are friendly and everything is very clean and well kept. Close to the Kruger park (crocodile bridge gate). Kitchen had everything required. Loved the special touch of plunger and filter coffee, with biscuits, set aside for guests"

  • "Jackalberry No. 10: 8 sleeper"

    25 June 2013

"The tents are very clean and very nicely and practical decorated. We saw some Impala and a duiker very near to our camp, and if you put seed out in the bird feed, you will be treated with quite a variety of birds in no time. The tents are quite cold and a heater might be a good idea. There is a 24-hour security guard which is very reassuring. Please as all tenants to keep music/rugby/TV and voices down, as sound travels far in the bush! We really had a wonderful stay and will be back!"
