Miss Milly Folly

Miss Milly Folly is an authentic self-catering cottage situated in the beginning of McGregor, bordering the local lively community. The cottage is within walking distance to local shops, restaurants and pubs.

Relax outside and enjoy the garden with your four legged family members. The cottage has an open-plan living area with exposed thatch and beams as well as a large indoor fireplace. The perfect spot for snuggling up with a book in winter or playing card/board games with friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove top and a microwave.

The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms, downstairs the main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower. There are extra blankets and hot water bottles for those chilly winter evenings and a fan for the warmer summer months. The second bedroom is upstairs in a loft style set up with a steep wooden staircase (not suitable for young kids or elderly). The room is equipped with a double bed, a single couch with a little book case and a fan. Feel free to browse the owners books on display while visiting.

- McGregor is a dog friendly village and so is our cottage. Per arrangement, your four legged family member/s are welcome to join you.

- 2 Night minimum policy stay.

- 3 Night minimum policy stay during festivals/events and long weekends.

Story Time:
The story behind our name...

Miss Milly Folly is named after the French custard slice - Mille Feuille. A few years ago the owners of the property were treated to and tickled by, a rather unique pronunciation of this French dessert in a restaurant in the village by a waitress who proudly presented it to us as a "Milly Folly!"

A couple of years later, when deciding on a name for their cottage, they remembered her rendition of the term, as mille-feuille, literally translated, means "a thousand leaves" and as their garden boasts a huge tree that bears a thousand leaves (and more!) all year round.
