22 on Ayr is a convenient and comfortable self-catering guest house on the edge of Melville in Johannesburg. We are within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, supermarkets, shops, banks, Internet cafs, other convenience stores as well as medical and dental facilities.
We offer three spacious bedrooms; two bathrooms of which the master bedroom is en-suite; a fully equipped kitchen for use by guests; a dining room; lounge with satellite TV; and a swimming pool with a leisure area. The premises also offers secure, lock-up parking with 24-hour security and armed response.
We are in close proximity to the University of Johannesburg, various hospitals, the SABC and the Melville Koppies Nature Reserve. We are 5 km away from the Johannesburg CBD, 15 km from Rosebank and 20 km from the heart of Sandton.

16 October 2011"I cannot recommend 22 on Ayr highly enough. The guest house is clean and there is an extremely thoughtful provision of essentials, from cereal to washing powder. The swimming pool is also very clean and nice to swim in. However, the star attraction is the faultless hospitality. Leon is the perfect guest house manager: extremely friendly, attentive, considerate and helpful. He often went well beyond the call of duty to make sure his guests enjoyed a safe, comfortable and happy stay in Johannesburg. This is an absolute gem of a place. Go stay, but don't book it up completely because I have ambitions to return!"
