"A beautiful spring experience. The garden is magnificent. I never thought I could find such peace and quiet in the heart of JHB. Chris was a fantastic host. He is the perfect reservoir for most info on Jozi, and a great cook. I enjoyed every meal and moments shared with the whole family. The place is neat and cosy with all the essentials. I would recommend it to anyone."

"Even though we arrived very late (midnight), they both waited for us.Comfortable and clean. Fresh flowers in the room. Nice beds with duvets. In the morning we were served a delicious healthy breakfast on the porch, served by Chris at exactly the time we requested. Chris, a man of many trades, is a tour guide and was a great source of information.It is only a short walk to the main streets of Melville. Chris drove with us to various locations and toured us through the Apartheid mus ... more"

Chris, a man of many trades, is a tour guide and was a great source of information.It is only a short walk to the main streets of Melville. Chris drove with us to various locations and toured us through the Apartheid museum.Both Chris and Penny, are interested in the guests who stay with them and do everything to make them comfortable.Melville is a suburb of Johannesburg, a 10 minute drive from the centre of town.We arrived as strangers, but we left as friends, truly describes how we felt when we left. We are a retired couple from Canada and we highly recommend anyone visiting Johannesburg, to stay with Chris and Penny."
