Murrayfield Villa Guest House

Murrayfield Villa Guest House is situated in the very secure Meyerspark area, and is centrally situated to all attractions.The guest house reception is open from 8am to 5pm, thereafter we have 24-hour guest assistance, with staff and the owner staying at the property should a guest needs assistance after hours.

We offer four self-catering units, two rooms with private bathrooms, and en-suite rooms equipped with guest amenities, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, selected DStv, and air-conditioning. The guest rooms are fully serviced daily, providing guests with fresh towels and linen.

Murrayfield Villa Guest House offers a shuttle service with a seating capacity of nine and if more space is required we have a reliable source for extra transportation.

Our rates include a full English breakfast with a variety of cereals, fruits, yoghurt, and juice. We also serve lovely two-course dinners with a salad, on prior notice.

We are situated 45 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport, and whether your aim is business or pleasure, honeymoon or family holiday, you will experience a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere, offering home away from home hospitality.

"We selected this accommodation based on the fact that safarinow.com indicated that there was a swimming pool. first disappointment after a long drive in a hot car with our kids was that the swimming pool was closed down. Later we discovered the "swimming pool" which is just big enough as a foot bath, not more... The rooms are large, but less than 1/3 of the light bulbs were working, so impossible to have a good vision at night. A lot of the curtains and blinds were broken and could either not been closed or opened. The carpet in the kids bedroom was really worn out and dirty. The drain of the toilet was leaking in the bathroom and was causing the whole appartement to stink. In the kitchen we saw a rat running (but we must say that there was also a visit of a pest control firm, so apparently they were aware of the issue and in the process of resolving it). In the evening we wanted to sit on the terrace under the shelter but it was impossible to switch the lights on, even not with the assistance of the staff.The receptionist was not really friendly, except the day we left (probably hoping for a tip). Only the cook was really friendly and helpful and served us a decent breakfast. We hired 3 rooms (family of 7 people) and all the rooms experienced similar issues. This house is simply worn-out and needs a big maintenance to say the least!"

"Die diens was baie goed. Ons etes was baie keurig, smaaklik en heerlik. Die kamer kan doen met plek om 'n tas op neer te sit, en in die badkamer plek om 'toiletware' op neer te sit - miskien rakkie by die wasbak. The service was very good. Our meals were well selected, tasty and delicious. The room can improve by having a place to put your suitcase, and a place to put your toiletries in the bathroom - maybe shelves by the basin."
