The River House

The Bushveld River Thatch Retreat is closely situated to the town of Middelburg, set along the banks of the Great Olifants River, a mere one and half hours drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg.

This little wooden retreat offers vast accommodation for ten guests in three bedrooms, of which one is a loft with six single beds. The loft is ideal for the kids to claim, while the adults have two private double rooms situated downstairs.

The house is well-quipped with modern day conveniences, while its beautifully furnished interior offers spacious sunlit living amid an African inspired dcor.

The property enjoys a vast river frontage with a large grassed area that allows the kids to play, carefree. The Bushveld River Thatch Retreat is very close to the Olifants River Lodge that offers a restaurant and pub, pools, picnic spots, horse rides and canoes.
