Guesthaven is situated in the lovely town of Middelburg in Mpumalanga and offers quiet and peaceful surroundings to its guests.
Guests have a choice of staying in one of two rooms; namely Liezl and Tania. Both rooms are equipped with TVs with M-Net and local channels, as well as bar fridges and microwaves, and each room also has an en-suite bathroom. The Tania Room is furnished with two comfortable three-quarter beds and the Liezl Room is furnished with two three-quarter beds and has a private entrance. Breakfast is served in the dining room and guests can make use of the swimming pool on hot days. Laundry facilities and parking are also available.
Middelburg offers a variety of activities and unique cultural experiences. Guests can visit the Botshabelo Historical Village and craft markets, or the Traditional Ndebele Village which is home to the well-known Ndebele People. Various game reserves are found in the area and guests can go on game drives or hiking on one of the many trails in the area. Middelburg also has an 18-hole golf course and is situated just minutes away from the Loskop Dam Nature Reserve which has an abundance of bird life and wildlife. Guests can also participate in water sports, go hiking or do game viewing by boat.

08 July 2018"Christa was a lovely hostess and very friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the meals were delicious.The only thing I would like to suggest that when it is so cold that the heaters in the rooms are switched on before the guests arrive as the rooms were very cold. A heater in the dining area would also be appreciated as it was very cold in there and the food got cold very quickly.I would recommend Guesthaven to anyone needing a B&B in Middelburg."

27 September 2015"This was a one night break on our journey from JNB airport to Kruger. Easy to find and located in a nice place. We booked both the rooms for our family, 2 kids & 2 adults. Both the rooms were of decent size, clean and had attached bath/toilet. Shower pressure not bad. Microwave and kettle in place with some coffee/milk provided.<br />Plenty of space to stow all our big bags. Car parked right in front behind the gate. Nice comfortable beds. The rooms and the connecting passage do not have a great deal of natural light but definitely not dark.<br /><br /><div>The best thing about this place is the hostess Chrysta. We were dog tired in the middle of our long holiday from UK and I was delighted to hear that she had cooked some biryani for us, knowing we were of Indian origin. I was dying for some Indian food. The dinner price was very reasonable and we ate to our hearts' content. The breakfast had plenty of vegetarian option with fresh fruits as well. No need to go out looking for food.</div><div><br /></div><div>She had even left some chocolates on the pillows fro the kids. Nice touch.</div><div>Chrysta was very helpful and printed out a map and gave me some tips of driving through the nearby towns and reaching Orpen gate. You must try Harrie's pancake !</div><div>I am very well travelled and these personal touches are the things that I like the best in small B&Bs.</div><div>I'm surprised that this place do not get more positive reviews.</div><div>Overall a very nice place to break your journey on the way to Kruger. 09 January 2013"We can recommend Geusthaven full heartedly, the welcome room and surroundings were very pleasant and tidy. We found it very restful and very safe. A fresh little flower was left, together with two nice chocolates, not to mention the decanter with some sherry together with two glasses. We also found the directions spot on. Thank you very much; will most definitely make use of the establishment in future."
