  "The room and bathroom were beautiful and clean and everyone at the guest house was friendly and helpful. I fully recommend this venue but for two two caveats. <br/>Caveat #1: The swimming pool is small with a really wonky ladder. <br/>Caveat #2: The food is expensive considering the quality and quantity."

  "After a day's driving 800 km from the Cape (en route to Pretoria), it was so great to arrive at Welvanpas and experience Johan's friendly welcome, and his and his team's helpfulness. Johan put a lot of skill and effort into preparing our supper, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A cozy fire in the communal lounge after supper, and, later, an electric blanket, helped to keep out the cold. The accommodation was great- just what we needed. Highly recommended!"

  "After a long day of driving we went trough the gate of Welvanpas and discovered this little piece of heaven. Beautiful old farmhouse that has been well kept.green grass,lovely garden and view in the mountains .All the rooms and bathrooms was super clean and neat...everything was great...The manager Johan was one of the best i have ever met.This is a must if travelling,next time i wiil stay a day extra just for the piece and hospitality"

  "We really felt that Rita was doing us a favour.<div>As with the Karoo at this time of the year it get chilly in the evening, but there had been no attempt to light the fire in the lounge/dining room until I asked and that was about half an hour before dinner. During the night the plug connected to the electric heater and kettle went off, so no heater in the morning.</div><div>Dinner was left to us to serve ourselves from the hot trolley, whereupon Rita left and Bianca served our dessert. I cannot believe still another B&amp;B/GH that cannot serve real coffee!</div><div>No thank you not again. We have stayed and other Karoo GH and usually had great service and food.</div>"

  "Welvanpas is the perfect halfway point for me, between Somerset West and Pretoria. After a long day, it was a refreshing, welcoming retreat. The bed was extremely comfortable, with crisp clean white linen. Roomy en-suite bathroom with shower, spotlessly clean. It was everything I needed for a most reasonable price and in a tranquil, quiet and homely setting on a beautiful Karoo farm. I didn't take advantage of the meals but the other guests obviously enjoyed the food! Generally, a great atmosphere. Dog friendly too, which is unusual and so heartwarming. For trailers, it boasts an extremely spacious and accommodating front lawn space."

  "We had a long trip to face and could only get a mid-afternoon departure so arrived after dark. We contacted Rita as instructed and was given clear instructions on how to reach the house. Within minutes of arriving we were met by our friendly and informative hostess. We were pretty tired so were thrilled to find a clean, comfortable en suite with plenty of hot water for our showers and a great bed for our tired bodies! Would definitely recommend it and were sorry we weren't staying over longer. Great camping area too..... we'll be back!"

  "Very pleasant and quiet farm atmosphere. Unfortunately there is no MTN cell phone reception and I had to drive back to the main road to inform family of my safe arrival. The self-catering component needs to be attended to. I was not given all the information upon arrival and only discovered the kitchen later. There is no fridge which is rather uncomforable."
