"quite an amazing experience! This all starts with a lady by the name Memory, she is brilliance on two legs. She went all the way and beyond her call of duty. We had forgotten to bring some of our equipment and she ensured that she drives out to make sure our stay was comfortable. She topped it up by permitting us to make use of facilities at the upmarket River Stream Lodge which is located within the premises! The ablution facility was 5 star for a Camping site. The Game roaming around gave the Safari ambiance thscenery and Game roaming around that gave the venue a Safari ambience. This venue is a definite do-over."
"Very nice camping area. I am just concerned about the looking after the Camp place. It was the fourth time that we camped there. Only the first time there was someone at reception. all the other times there was nobody. i had to go and ask for the putt putt equipment, and then there were only two sticks available normal Golf 5 iron and left handed putter. Bathrooms are really very nice but not looked after. Spider webs and spiders in all bathrooms. I really do think if they can manage the place better it would be a great camping spot."
"The camping grounds were neat as well as the newer ablution facilities were well maintained. However the ablutions were only cleaned on Friday and not again for the rest of the weekend although there were not a lot of campers but still it needs to be cleaned daily. Saturday evening a group of people were playing VERY LOUD music WELL after 10 and unfortunately we had to go and silence them as no one from the establishment came to do it. We were not happy about that and they also carried on during being loud and music playing until they left at about 15.40. Apart from that we found it quite nice and peacefull. All the staff are VERY friendly and we should mention Alpheus specifically as he is the most accommodating and helpful person we found in a long time, he deserve being called employer of the month."
"Very friendly and helpful staff!!"
"after a couple of months of pure hell and a divorce , this weekend was planned with a new friend just to get away from it all . i was unsure what was waiting for us and was hoping not to dissapoint a new friend . what a total surprise awaited us from the gate to reception to the friendly guys at the camping site . being a camping critic myself i was overwhelmed by the camp layout and off course the heart of every camping site the amblusion blocks . we just fell in love with this jewel of a place and we had our first easter weekend together in the most awsome place we could only dream about . thanks to the staff and management for this beautiful camping site ."
"<p>The Caravan Park was overall very nice and the children really enjoyed playing put-put and in the river. The stand itself has lovely green grass andthe shadeis acceptable.</p><p>We unfortunately had some bad experiences at the Caravan Park. We had some car problems and got to the camp a little bit late. We booked 3 stands and on our arrival, there was only 2 available. When we got to the stand the neighbours had made themselves at home on our stand. We basically had to pitch our two caravans on one stand. In my opinion this is where Silver Rocks had to manage the neighbours and made them pitch there setup on there stand. This is not for me to sort out and it creates unnecessary friction between campers. On the other hand I cannot believe the neighbours would intrude so much on our space and with no respect.</p><p>The stands are not clearly marked and that's why Silver Rocks had to manage it. There was nobody in sight to sort out the problems.</p><p>Lastly it is advertise that Campers can use all the Lodge facilities including the Bass dam but we had to ask to use it and also was explained to us that we cannot really use it? </p><p>The overall feeling it felt that we where never welcomed and the put-put course that the children enjoyed so much is in a really bad state and really dangerous as most of the sides has now lose rocks.</p><p></p>"
"We were very pleased with the ablution facilities that were closest to us, we did notice that the other ablutions were missing there canvas top but the toilets still had a roof and their shower was al fresco which in itself was great showering in privacy with the stars as the ceiling. Staff were very friendly and helpful<div><br /></div><div>The only negative was that the Putt putt course had not seen a rake in a while and one night there was an issue with hot water which was immediately rectified the next day.</div><div><br /></div><div>I would still recommend it to anyone.</div>"
"What a beautifully built resort but in need of maintenance.<div>The paint is pealing and the ants are making nests everywhere.</div><div>The tented camp is so beautifully built but falling apart.</div><div>The main ablusion block is the most beautiful ablusions we have ever seen in any caravan park but needs some attention.</div><div>The trampoline is falling apart.</div><div>The putt putt course is beautifully built but needs attention. On places it is falling apart and place place the carpet is lifting.<br /><div><br /></div><div>Everything was built so beautiful but needs serious maintenance.</div></div>"
"My son and I camped for 3 days. It is a well kept campsite. Green and very clean. Yes shade could be an issue however we made a plan and we survived the heat wave. We will be back real soon. Being able to cook up a breakfast or just sitting by the fire and seeing the zebra,Giraffe, Eland and springbok was stunning Thank you The staff are also friendly and very accommodating. David kept our site very clean <br />"
"We had a very pleasant stay at the Park. Nice clean bathrooms with hot water.<br></br>Friendly staff and security all day and night.<br></br>Can definitely recommend."
"Excellent, Loved the Ablution Blocks."
"Our site was exposed with no shade, however we had a most relaxing weekend. Ablutions were 5 star. Will certainly return, but will make sure I have a site with shade."
"Great facilities and atmosphere. Only thing missing is a bar/lappa area by the pool. But still a wonderful place for a short get away from the Big City (Jhb)!"
