Ubuntu Bush Retreat is situated in the beautiful province of Limpopo, South Africa, in the heart of the Waterberg. Shaded by large trees, Ubuntu Bush Retreat overlooks the serene beauty of the African bush, bird life and wildlife such as Nyala, Impala and other small antelope. The spacious relaxing area and swimming pool creates the perfect environment to relax, unwind and absorb the sights, sounds and scents of Africa.

Accommodation at Ubuntu features a large, luxurious, four-bedroom family house in the pristine bushveld. The main bedroom is air-conditioned with an en-suite bathroom. A maximum of 8 guests can stay at Ubuntu and each room has its own elegant sense of style and dcor, designed to make you feel pampered, spoiled and special.

Ubuntu Bush Retreat is situated approximately 14 km from Bela Bela and 13 km from Modimolle. The area offers a variety of places of interest such as a Game Rehabilitation Centre, a Crocodile Farm, game drives, Hot Mineral Springs and for those who are more adventurous, the Aventura Resort offers water sports.

"thanks to you guys we were able to choose just the right place for us to go, its a very relaxing place right in bushes the nature is so nice to relax at we saw animals that was surrounding the entire place it was a really great experience and the house is beautiful neat and clean the morning breeze of nature is breath taking. Thank you to the owner for ensuring everything was smooth we definitely going back there to take the kids to have some fun in the bushes"

"I am an American and this was my first time staying anywhere other than a lodge or resort.It is a large property with Kudu and other antelope type animals on the property. The patio area with the thatched roof is incredible as well as a large area with a fire pit. I stayed up late with my kids at night with a fire going and served food on the patio.It has all the kitchen and bathroom amenities you might expect. Nicely decorated interior. The gentleman who cares for the property is very helpful. Including maintaining the in-ground pool. The braai setup is expansive.The heater in the living room did not work which was disappointing because it was cold the first night we were there (July). Also, it was disappointing that the interior fireplace was not a working fireplace. But on both accounts, there is not much reason to be indoors on this large property."

"We stayed at Ubuntu for 2 days. It was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere iscalm, serene and peaceful. The house is spacious and has everything, the dcor is beautiful as well. We loved watching the buck and kudu every morning and evening.I would suggest itto anyone who wants to have a breakaway.Thank youto Matt and his staff, we will definitely go back soon."

"The house itself has all the required amenities but just getting there spoilt everything.1. The GPS co-ordinates and location on Google maps is totally wrong and misleading???? I would never have booked had I known that you were so far from Sondela.2. You omitted to mention that the sand road is in a total state of disrepair and that a 4x4 is needed. We also had a Venter trailer loaded with bicycles which make the road extremely difficult to navigate.3. We did not have any hot water on Saturday morning.4. You knew that we were 8 people and yet only 4 towels were provided.Will not recommend to anyone."

"What a wonderful discovery! We will surely become regulars very quickly at this lovely, well appointed and excellent lodge. It feels as if you are at your own private lodge. Chris was absolutely incredibly helpful. The dÃ©cor is stunning and we had a very memorable easter weekend. We will definately be back as soon as Ubuntu Bush Retreat will have us. Oh and the Nyala's on the property are fantastic! Loved every single minute at this wonderful lodge close to Johannesburg. We'll be back soon."
