Badensfontein Cottages and Camping

Badensfontein is a beautiful farm in peaceful, tranquil surroundings situated 5 km outside of Montagu - a village on the scenic R62. This is the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. Guests are encouraged to wander around the farm and enjoy long walks through fields and vineyards.

Steenbokkie and Merlot are two, fully equipped, luxury self-catering cottages and there is a lovely camping site for those seeking a close-to-nature experience, all close to the therapeutic hot pools of Montagu Springs. We are also proud to offer a multi-functional venue. Cabrires is ideal for special functions, weddings, conferences and workshops.

Merlot is a luxury cottage situated between the Waboomsberg and Langeberg with a beautiful view over orchards and vineyards. This fully equipped cottage, with DSTV and braai facilities, has two bedrooms and a sleeper coach in the open-plan living area.

Steenbokkie Cottage is a special luxury bungalow at the foot of the Waboomsberg. Overlooking the picturesque Baden Valley, it is the ideal retreat for those seeking peace and tranquility away from the city noise. This fully equipped cottage with DSTV and braai facilities, has two separate bedrooms and a single bed in the open-plan living area which makes it ideal for five guests.

Montagu has much to offer with its vineyards, hot springs, orchard and local herbs and for the more active enthusiasts there is kloofing, paragliding, river boat trips, abseiling, fishing and mountain biking.

"We stayed in the Ruby self-catering cottage - it was beautifully decorated, well equipped, clean and tidy. The views from the cottage are gorgeous. It makes for a peaceful and relaxing break from the city. The cottage is very private and you cannot even see the camping/caravanning from the cottage. We had a wonderful weekend there and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet weekend away. We will definitely be back!!"
