"An incredible stay out in the beautiful Koo Valley; the cottage was everything we needed perfectly situated by the dam, stellar views all round and topped off with woodfired tubs!! A real mountain getaway gem! Definitely a place to return to."
"Sounds of nature, clean facility"
"We enjoyed our stay in the Almond suite with private enclosed entrance, cozy interiors and beautiful mountain views from the stoep. The jungle gym for small kids however is not being maintained and the area around overgrown with grass and not a true reflection of displayed on the website."
"Our charming hosts upgraded us from a tent to a cottage, which was fortunate as there was a thunder storm that night. A cosy evening!"
"We only spent one night here, but really enjoyed the peaceful setting and simple, but comfortable setup. Will definitely be visiting again!"
"The place looks fantastic, however:<br/><br/>I do not see the reason for hiking rates during the festive season as the volume of people at this time would be much higher than during the year.<br/>Campsites are beautiful, thumbs up!<br/>Other self catering units, refuse does not get removed daily.<br/>There are no designated spots for music, hence loud music, huge irritation!<br/>The owners have got lots of dogs, hence taking a romantic stroll late at night, a complete NO NO.<br/>Communal places can get crowded (especially) at the dam, but I suppose that's due to the festive season.<br/>Pay TV advertised as DSTV, however, it's the free version OPENVIEW HD.<br/><br/>If the above-mentioned can be polished slightly, then you've got yourself one of the best holiday destinations in the Western Cape.<br/>"
"Disappointed"
"It was a pleasure having a breakaway at Langdam in Koo. The natural beauty and open space was refreshing and relaxing. peaceful. I recommend it to all who wants an escape from the busy city life"
"We stayed over for one night coming from Inverdoorn Game Reserve headed to Struisbaai. We booked a plot for a tent but weather was much cooler and wetter than expected :-) so changed to a lovely cottage. Cosy, with a lovely view and equipped with a stove and braai.Sweet, highly recommended."
"We had a wonderful Easter weekend at Langdam. The location is beautiful and the kids had a ball playing with the boat in the dam."
"Booking the Guinea Fowl cottage as a "perfect for families" choice was a mistake. The cottage is far away from the main dam, and playground and so offers little to entertain children. This means a drive up the road for any swims or plays. The play grass area is also home to a flock of geese, which means that small children have to watched not to pick up goose poo! The rooms of the cottage are small and do not have interleading doors which also makes napping for babies difficult. No towels were provided in the accomodation (but were given to us when we asked), toilet paper was 1 ply and the toaster was broken. Little touches seen in other holiday accomodation (fresh milk/ a bag of wood) was also not there. The surroundings are beautiful but I am not sure that I can recommend or would return to Langdam."
"My wife and I stopped over at Langdam for two nights on our HoneyMoon up Route 62. Its such an amazing place, beautiful rooms, huge dam and a heated swimming pool for the cooler part of the day. We loved it!"
"Did a 5 night stay recently. Stayed in the well equipped Apricot Cottage (honeymoon cottage). Loads to do on the the farm (swimming pool and dam at lapa with braai facilities. hiking trails and MTB routes on farm or in close proximity.) Friendly staff. Privacy could be better, two cottages are attached to the main farmhouse so there is constant activity in sight. We plan to go back in winter this year."
"Thank you for a wonderful weekend we returned home feeling very relaxed. We stayed in Almond suite which is equipped with everything we needed plus a stunning Victorian bath and wonderful indoor fireplace. We enjoyed the rugby at the communal lapa overlooking the dam on Saturday night and our own private braai with lots of star gazing of Sunday night."
"We spent a weekend at Langdam in the Apple Cabin and it was absolutely amazing! Peaceful and restful and the animals are amazing - will definately go back very soon."
"Tranquil environment and good stop over to explore the area. Neat and comfortable accommodation. Very friendly and helpful owners."
"The facilities were very clean and well-maintained...however the campsites were not level and we struggled to find a spot where we could put our tent so that we were not sleeping downhill...the braais could also have been cleaned every morning..other than that it was very peaceful and we had a good time."
"We had the most amazing stay at Langdam Cottages, even caught a fish in the dam on the farm. Really gorgeous surrounds and friendly owner. I'd recommend to anyone!"
