  "We had a very pleasant stay for more than a month at Lazy Lizzards. A perfect place for us and our 3 children, the dogs (at some point even 4) arranged the entertainment for our boys. Hans and Anja were very nice hosts and nothing was too much. So we can really recommend this guesthouse to others."

  "My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at Lazy Lizzards. Despite arriving on a late flight and getting there around 11pm, Hans was there to greet us, show us the basics and left us to it. Anja and Hans were terrific hosts. Our cottage was spacious, clean and boasted a gorgeous view of the mountains. Having a secure place to park our hire car was also a bonus. We would highly recommend LL to all for a relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the world."

  "We were not lazy lizzards at all! But we loved every minute and aspect of Lazy Lizzards guest house. We worked at the Cape Getaway show at Lourensford wine estate, so after a hectic day it was an absolute pleasure to come home to the tranquillity of Lazy Lizzards. Anja and Hans, you are such lovely people and thank you for helping us out with extra plugs and vehicle parking."

  "We have experienced outstanding kindness from Anja and Hans when our car broke down some distance from Lazy Lizzards. Hans towed us with his vehicle and with such kindness and smiles that we were amazed! The cottage certainly reflected their welcome and we loved their artistry in the interior and the courtyard/deck and larger garden areas. There is something of beauty everywhere and the views of the mountains are beyond words - gorgeous. The beds had great mattresses and super bedding and the most attractive bathroom had a perfectly effective shower with oodles of hot water. We absolutely loved the hosts little dogs, who must surely be the epitome of what well-behaved dogs should be like! They are so cute on top of it! One of them can actually grin. Our little Dachsie - aka monster dog - displayed such anti-social behaviour and yet these little dogs remained wonderful in their behaviour. We are seriously impressed with Anja, Hans, their dog-family and the wonderful cottage! Oh yes, they are displaying their beautiful art in the cottage and it adds so much to the atmosphere as their art is a reflection of their positive attitude in viewing their fellow man!"

  "What superb accommodation. We were welcomed by Anja and made to feel like part of the family. The cottage was awesome with the most amazing view and the facilities were more than adequate. They go the extra mile at Lazy Lizzards. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped and having the use of the deck, pool and braai area was an unbelievable bonus. All the attention to detail was also noticed. Tour options, books, games and the supplies in the kitchen all added to the effort that has gone into making the traveller feel at home. Thank you Anja. Awesome!"

  "We honeymooned at the Lazy Lizard in Somerset West in March/April 2010. The stay was definitely one to remember.The hospitality of Anja, her family and friends was exceptional.We especially liked the three pouches-Snoopy,Cloe and "the old girl" as well as the part timers Sausage and Coco bean.The accommodation was outstanding and just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the jhb traffic.We felt welcome and safe and above all relaxed.We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone."

  "We had a wonderful week at Lazy Lizzards - all thanks to the great hospitality shown by Anja and Hans.The apartment was impeccable, beautifully decorated and so comfortable.It is so apparent that a lot if attention and thought has gone into this little holiday flatlet.And those views....to die for!Finally, we were adopted by 3 very friendly, vivacious doggys who spent more time with us (albeit because of the roast beef snacks on offer) than with their real mom amd dad!They were in big danger of being dognapped!!We loved every minute and will definately recommend it to friends and family!Thanks again Anja and Hans - we hope to be back some day!"

Lazy Lizzards was the perfect find, lovely modern accommodation with a beautiful braai area (bbq), terras, garden, swimming pool and not to forget - amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Hans and Anja made us feel right at home and were very helpful in advising us about the area. Simply perfect!"
