"The donkey and geese were wonderful characters.Unfortunately, previous visitors to Unit 1 smoked so the unit smelt horrible. It permeates everything. My daughter also had 2 shirts go "missing" which we know she had packed because they were not at home on our return. This does sour a stay that we enjoyed."

"There was not anything to love. The mosquitos carried us away. There are a few things that was not good at all: I booked 2 en-suite bedrooms, that was not the case. The one bedroom does not even have a cupboard, the litter basket must be kept in front of the door to prevent it from closing all the time. Drainage in the shower is very poor, The stove seems to never be cleaned also the furniture. We unfortunately left our binoculars at home....actually needed that to see the tiny television. The notices put up on the walls need a LOT of spelling and tenses correction. Not a good advert! The price was tooooo much for what we got!"

"Warm welcome from Elize who was so friendly and helpful. Your accommodation is situated in a bird park which is a beautiful collection of colourful foreign birds and as a guest you can walk around and enjoy when all the visitors are gone. The room/house/chalets are like stepping back in time and have a lot of the original bits and bobs plus the modern amenities of TV movie package, air con and well appointed bathrooms. Lovely tranquil swimming pool area. The area of Monzi itself was a real feel of Africa rural life and sugar cane. Recommend a visit to the golf club section and to visit the tea room and craft shop. Also easy access to both the stunning iSimangaliso Wetland Parks both East and West shores, the butterfly dome for true local arts and crafts and of course butterflies and Mtubatuba for shopping."

"Charming and tastefully equiped guest house, with well kept bird-park as a bonus. Warm, generous and helpful hosts in Annemarie and Jeff. Close to both St Lucia, the beach and the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi park. Well suited for longer stays as well as shorter (we stayed for 5 days). Good restaurant on the premises."
