"Worst stay ever!"

"As weve arrived there was no intercom at the gate weve contacted the reception about 5 times and nobody answered only to find out from a guy on the opposite of the road that the gate is to be opened manually (#thinking what about the safety)As we got to reception nearly 25 minutes later there was nobody and we had to get the cleaner to go call someone.There was a guy that took us to our room and he gave us a key which could not lock the door for our room,he then only realized that the key was broken and promised to have it fixed so by the time we arrived back at the guest hoise it would be sorted (we had a wedding nearby).As we got back the evening there was nobody once again and we went to the room,no key!We have slept with an open door the whole night.The next morning we have left just after 7 as we did not feel welcome or safe at all and still nobody in reception.The place is also not very neat at all,in my opinion-fake advertising.I would not recommend this place at all and will never go back there again."

"We really enjoyed our stay, the owners of the lodge made us feel very welcome and attended to our every need. Our breakfast was divine we loved the cheese griller breakfast, it was just what we needed after the wedding reception hangover."

"My husband and I and a few of our friends stayed at the lodge after attending a wedding in the area. From the moment we arrived to the following day, we were treated with such warm hospitality, we couldn't help but feel at home. Thanks to DC and the wonderful Duke (a large and extremely friendly Great Dane), we had a lovely stay in a very pretty area."

"Kikuyu is a beautiful lodge, we had the opportunity to see the wild all around us. The hospitality was great, on arrival we had the most friendly welcome and breakfast was delicious! Would in future prefer to stay there again and refer the place to many friends and family! Thank you for a great stay!"
