  "Self catering Chalet was stuffy and dusty upon arrival. Furniture seemed old and dusty as well. Very hot with no air-conditioning or fan in chalet. Upon complaint risen by myself the manager did accommodate us in the Guesthouse witch we really appreciated as there were at least fans in each room."

  "It was a very bad experience. Firstly there was no security at the gate, even during our stay there. The place is dirty. The swimming pool was not working. And it shows that it had not been working for a long time. What you see on the internet is all lies. There were no pots or nothing. The place is run down. The ceiling is falling in one of the chalets. I was choked by one of the taps in the shower. There was no one to look after our needs the whole time we were there. It's a really shocking place, the only thing about it is that, it's a peaceful area, and there was only one lady there who worked in the main house. And she was going between us and the guest in the house. She is the only nice experience about Buffelsvlei. The owners need to close it and revamp it cos it's a beautiful and peaceful area. I would never recommended it to anyone at all."

  "we really enjoyed being at the lodge, it was an aswome stay, it is a beautiful quite place away from everything, just to relax and see the sun come up in the morning was relaxing enough. we will defiantly be booking the place again."

  "it was a terrible experiencethe place is not at all what the pictures tell you - it is falling apart with bats flying over your head while you are trying to sleep. front door there was no lock, geyser strapped to the wall with ropes, leaking all over the place. advertised as a fully equipet kitchen - there isn't even a plug in the kitchen or a graider."

  "We booked a chalet but we were put up in a building that is used for camps. From the photos on the website we were definitely not in the right place. Almost no utensils in the kitchen, no bed lamps no chairs at the table. This was definitely not worth R880 rather R300 per night"

  "We found the people at Buffelsvlei exceedingly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the setup at Buffelsvlei has changed, but the description on Safari did not, so we did not at all get what we expected. Buffelsvlei now only offers accommodation - no animals, game drives, quads and very little to do."

  "For a lovely relaxing and informal stay, Buffelsvlei is the right choice. Although nothing fancy or over the top, it is perfect for a quiet get away. Close to nature and with beautiful open clear skies. Friendly service and professional staff made it a pleasant weekend. Thank you."
