Serendipity Eco Trails is situated on a private game farm Tierkloof, in the district of Mookgopong (Naboomspruit), Limpopo Province, just 140 km from Pretoria.
Serendipity Eco Trails specializes in 4x4, hiking, electric bikes, and electric mountain bike trails, all set out over 2000-hectares of mountainous bushveld, with a variety of game.
The trails stretch over an unusual combination of valleys, gorges, savannah, and mountain streams. Rockpools with crystal clear water, indigenous forest, waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Waterberg await you. A large variety of trees, abundant birdlife, and game can be seen and enjoyed while taking on the challenge.
"We booked for a large schools' sporting event in Mookgophong and about a month before, Serendipity contacted us with arrangements to move to Terry's Place, as they could no longer honour the booking. Being desperate for accommodation, I had no choice but to accept. Terry's Place was terrible. It is basically a backroom in someone's back yard. Scrap metal and the stench of a goat enclosure greeted us. The furniture, crockery, cutlery and linen was really old and worn out to the point where I rather bought plastic utensils - so glad I took my own linen! The lighting was as functional as lighting a match in a cave. The detached kitchen (20 meters from the room) was very basic, but at least functional. The shower had no curtains, the donkey stoked gas geyser was hot and cold like a Katy Perry song. All round, the worst 3 nights of my life. Had I not been there on account of my daughter's sport, I would have left immediately. Totally ripped off if compared to similar priced accommodation I have stayed in across the country."
