Thaba ya-Metsi Country Estate is an indigenous farm where the Waterberg Mountains meet the Springbok Flats. Situated between Potgietersrus and Naboomspruit, the estate offers stylish comfort and satisfaction to all of our guests. It is approximately a two hours' drive from OR Tambo International Airport and a one-hour drive from Polokwane.

Thaba ya-Metsi Country Estate has eight stylishly decorated rooms, each with its own private entrance and easy access to the dining room and garden. There are barbecue facilities, a fully licensed bar, hiking trails, a swimming pool, donkey cart excursions and arranged game drives. A highlight of your visit to the estate is the three-course dinner which is served on request, on the wooden deck or in the dining room. Sunday lunch is also offered for those who wish to enjoy a peaceful afternoon soaking up the beautiful surroundings.

Luxurious accommodation and conference facilities are available. The architecturally inspired residence is surrounded by breathtaking gardens which blend into unspoilt, indigenous bush. Experience the spectacular views over the Springbuck Flats and the Nile Wetlands. There are other attractions within 20 km such as a Big 5 nature reserve, the Makapans Cave and popular mineral resorts. For the birdwatcher, the largest variety of bird species in the Southern Hemisphere can be seen at the banks of the Nile River. For the angler, Doorndraai Dam is a great experience. A shuttle and guide service is also available on request.

"Thank you Hettie for making my wife and I feel welcome. Thaba ya-Metsi is close enough to town to get all you need or drive in for a meeting, but far enough to enjoy the tranquility. The room was clean and comfortable, just a pity there was no aircon or DSTV as advertised. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating to our time schedule. I would recommend Thaba ya-Metsi for a stay over, we will probably be back next year"
