  "Such a wonderful stay, has everything you need for a weekend getaway. The views are beautiful and the beach is perfect for long walks. Lots of extra little touches around the place that we loved. Little doggie bowls left for us and a ball with treat. WiFi and warm little blankets. Really love this spot and we will be back again for sure."

  "The beach walks, beautiful views and excellent food. Was dissappointed to find that Zula Beach Cottage is right next to a public parking area and walkway to the beach. No privacy (as in the cars park next to the cottage garden wall spoiling the view and public can look straight into the bedroom. ) To make matters worse, the area is used for the building rubble of building activities on the other side of the walkway. Had to put up a a TLB working the whole Saturday."

  "When we arrived we were surprised with the stunning view and the friendliness of the housekeeper, Nora. Everything else was what you would expect from your average self catering accommodation. First thing that I noticed was that there was ample appliances to keep you warm but no fan or air-conditioning unit to keep you cool if there was no wind blowing. We were also told that everthing need to be closed up and locked up. A total of 5 doors and gates and an alarm. We do not even have that many in our house in Gauteng. I felt that I shouldve been informed when I wanted to make the booking about the tight security. It felt like I was sleeping in a prison. Our car had to stand outside. No gates or carports. The lady said they use the garage for storage. No sorry. I will not recommended Zula to anyone."

  "The king bed was very comfy and with a view. The wood burning stove worked beautifully and kept the winter cold at bay. Premium dstv was a plus. Only negative was no microwave. Will definitely stay here again!"

  "I'm not one for complaining.But there is a lot to feel very unhappy about at Zula.Firstly the cottage is advertised on the website at R1200 perday yet I still had to pay R4000 for 3 nights even after I pointed this out. Oh the big favour to reduce from R1800 per night. It is advertised on the website at R1200!!! Per night!!Then I'm told I have to pay R200 diectly to the housekeeper to bring my dog . For what? She does nothing we clean up after our dog. That we have done ourselves. In fact we haven't seen the housekeeper since we arrived.Then to add insult to injury when we arrive we are adjacent to a construction site so there is no privacy and there is no grass (because of the drought i can undetstand this) but all the dust and dead grass along with the wind, the place is a nightmare!!! And no consideration for the conditions has been allowed for. Furthermore we are told the oven does not work. We asked to have this address urgently as we do not like a microwave. Nothing...... the housekeeper doesn't even have the courtesy of getting back to us.After being over charged we must now pay R50/day for the maid to clean the room too? This is total abuse.I have never in all my travels around the world felt so disappointed with what could have been a very special stay.Dale and Elsa Hellmann"

Beautifully appointed, and exceptionally clean.<br/>We missed a microwave (mentioned on the website) - a full 4-plate stove and oven for this sort of accommodation just doesn't 'do it'. A slightly larger fridge would have made our 5-day stay easier."

  "Stayed at Zula Beach Cottage end of May/beginning of June because it's so close to the beach and is very much pet-friendly. <br /><br />Great fittings and fixtures and everything you need to be comfortable.<br /><br />The views and walks are spectacular especially at sundowners.<br /><br />My wife and I, not forgetting our Staffie, will definitely return and we would thoroughly recommend the cottage, or the house, to family and friends.<br /><br />Many thanks Toni and to Nora for being so attentive.<br />"

  "The pics on the website really don't do this awesome little beach cottage any justice! When u see the sand dunes of the beach in the pics u wonder how real it is but I can vouch that you wouldn't be able to get any closer to the beach unless of course you pitched a tent on the beach itself!The cottage itself had everything we needed and we were able to explore all the places and restaurants that Toni had suggested in her list of things to do and places to eat at! The rest of the time we just tried to spend as much time at the cottage as possible relaxing and listening to the waves crashing on the beach outside the cottage or walking down along the beach to go watch the fishermen when they landed their boats! Don't forget to take extra memory cards for your cameras as you will end up taking hundreds of pics especially of the magnificent sunsets and sunrises!So if you lucky enough to be able to get away for a couple of days don't even hesitate to hit the 'confirm' button for this cottage! Go experience your piece of heaven! :)"

  "My wife and myself had a very enjoyable stay in December 2013. The location is as good as it gets, right on the beach, and the cottage is very well appointed, even though rather small, and particularly the kitchenette. However, we were extremely fortunate that the adjoining main house was empty. The cottage is literally in the entrance garden for the main house, which is also to rent. If the main house is let, I cannot see anybody enjoying their stay. (unless of course you know the people staying there)"
