Welcome to Phumula Lodge."Phumula" means a place of rest in Zulu.
Phumula Lodge is set around a 2 hectare bass dam andoffers catered accommodation in a majestic location.
At Phumula Lodge guests are accommodated in style and comfort. All the rooms have a wooden balcony facing the damwhere one can enjoy complimentary tea or coffee. The rooms are fitted with split heating and cooling air conditioners, color televisions, easy chairs, bar fridges, and wall safes. The Main Houseoffers a spacious communal lounge in which guests can catch up on the latest news.
All rooms at Phumula Lodge have spacious bathrooms thatboast a corner bath, basin, toilet and large shower.Located on the edge of the dam, Phumula Lodge offers a fully licenced bar where one can enjoy a sun downer and watch the sun set behind the dam.
The lodge has a newly builtdeck over the waters edge. For those hot and humid summer days a rock pool and a paddle pool are available for guests to cool off while having refreshments. Phumula Lodge offers an ala carte Restaurant where guests can enjoy a freshly prepared meal or one can have a traditional South African Braai with braai areas located around the pool and dam area.

"Great venue but disappointing stay over Easter"
01 April 2013"We were nicely surprised with the venue and location upon our arrival. Unfortunately that is where it ended. The manager insisted that we pay for our full stay upfront because he had his weekend off on Easter. He assured me that my air conditioner would be fixed the next day which did not happen- presumably because of his off time- the air conditioner is probably the most important part of a stay in Northern Zululand. We had bocoked two rooms with two people, but only had one set of towels, and had to ask twice. Only one person could operate the credit card machine, and the curtains were off the rails... Just like the place."

07 January 2013"Three excellent nights over christmas. Helpful and polite staff with terrific facilities; a great place to relax and chill out. Good value for money will filling breakfasts (don't know about any other meals), plus immaculate rooms with fridges and air con - much needed in sapping heat."
