  "This is a very beautiful place, unfortunately no aircon and no fridge to keep your food cold. We struggled to sleep as there was only a noisy fan in the room. Other than that, very clean and enjoyed the surroundings."

  "I was staying over at Bergvallei on the 6th September. After coming back from an exhausting wedding, just needing to get some rest, there was an incredible amount of noise. It seems that they were shooting a drama series, with hundreds of cast members running around, slamming doors, doing make-up, and being very rowdy at 23h00 at night, with no sign of it ending. I was unable to get hold of either security or management. It was at that point, we decided to leave and drive home."

  "Your facility is really run down. Doors dont close properly, the lighting in the rooms is garden/outside lighting. There were no basics like a tv , the toilet ran all night"

  "1. The room was not clean especially the shower (floor) & the balcony(the chairs were filthy);<br/>2. The noise after 22:00 was unbearable. Followed by the thick smoke of cigarettes;<br/>3. Bedding/linen/blankets were not clean. It had Caucasian hair and was stuffy;<br/>4. Security guards work under unfavourable conditions in the evening. Recommendations-a comfortable work station should be provided- ensuring that the guards have a dignified space to serve from. With options of refreshments,protective clothing and shelter amongst others;<br/>5. The establishment should consider installing a landline so that clients can be able to reach them directly;<br/><br/>Establishments response:<br/><br/>This guest apologized to the cleaning staff on the morning of her departure when handing the room keys to her, for the mess that SHE had made in the room. After her departure, the curtains had to be taken down to be washed and the marks left on the white towels was nearly impossible to remove. It seems that her review of the state of the room is not about the clean state that she had found the room in, but the state that she had left the room in.<br/>Friendly Bergvallei greetings,<br/><br/>"

  "The staff are very friendly., we could even check in an hour early.The room had a bath and shower this was a plus2nd time stay this is what we took notice of,There was tea and coffee with powder milkA packet of biscuits.The negative was as follows:1. The front door didnt lock , only the security gate locked ( hey people we li in SA) we have to lock up all .2. The toilet rolls were disgusting, cheap 2 ply that can cause infection.3.The towels and wash cloths are terrible, the same as a few years ago , they have bad smell .not sure if it was clean , but its cheap fabric.4. There was slot of ents and other 5. No T V6. No microwave No complimary soap and shower caps, there was however a pink liquid not sure what it wasThis place is ok if you just need a place to go dress up for a wedding? I dont recommend it for a long stay."

  "VERY noisy people from 11 up to 2 o'clock checked in Sat night. Could not sleep and we had to be up at 3.30 for Air Ventures. Could hear the shower, toilet and they banged the doors open and close. Very dissappointed as there are signs to keep quiet from 10'o clock at night."

  "<p>Good day,</p><p>Rooms are clean, neat well equipped &amp; comfortable. Only one problem check out time is at 10:00 however some guest were so noisy from the early morning already, with kids making a noise &amp; screaming in the corridor the adults took no responsibility for their children who was making such a noise passing my rooms door! I was very upset, naturally disturbed my sleep &amp; was wide awake from 7am already. Suggestion: All guest should still respect others privacy &amp; quietness irrespective of time that they check out, because not everyone leaves the same time. </p>"

  "Peaceful, calming, restful weekend. We had a lovely stay at Bergvallei, beautiful place and friendly staff always greeting with a smile. Mother Nature gave a few hiccups but due to good management it was sorted in a jiffy. Loved the atmosphere and the layout of the estate is breath taking."

  "The "room" was embarrassing. A converted space under a flight of stairs, with walls so paper thin we were kept up all night by the other guests. The bathroom was even worse. I could hardly fit between the toilet and the basin to use the loo and had to have a cold shower because the geyser had run out of hot water. Money wasted. This place is a joke."

  "For the reasonable price, the accommodation was great. The place needs attention and the water pipes need to be silenced, but if I complain about this, then I must also consider that the room was very large and the bathroom facilities spacious for four people. I will certainly return."

  "Looking at the pictures of Bergvallei Estate on your website we thought it would be great to stay at. We were extremely disappointed upon arrival with the lack of maintenance to the property.it has not been looked after and is in no way a venue I would recommend to anyone. I do however have to mention that it our room was very clean!"
