Riverstone Lodge

Riverstone Lodge is a unique and spacious hotel with a warm ambience. It is situated in landscaped gardens with the Crocodile River running through it. This countryside hotel offers 50 luxurious rooms including twin or double rooms, Executive Suites and a Honeymoon Suite. The rooms offer private balconies overlooking the river and the Honeymoon Suite also features a private plunge pool in its own garden.

Riverstone Lodge also offers a range of upmarket conference venues on the banks of the Crocodile River. This tranquil and relaxed ambience is the ideal setting for one to be creative, productive and inspired. Our experienced conference co-ordinator and management team will ensure that your corporate event will suit your every need. We are also an ideal venue for events or weddings and we have a private venue that can be utilized as a chapel.

Activities and attractions in the area include the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve, Wonder Caves, Sterkfontein Caves, hot air ballooning, horse riding, the Kromdraai Gold Mine, a spa, and trout fishing. "Room was booked as we were attending a wedding down the road. It was extremely expensive (maybe jumping on the band-wagon of the various wedding venues in the area creating demand), especially for what we got. The room itself was ok and spacious, but was not very clean, and had a distinctive smell of beer, as though beer has been spilt on the carpet and never cleaned. Actual hotel and breakfast was well below standard and offered no value for money at all. I also didn't see any reason to stay at this hotel unless you attended a wedding nearby and needed accommodation, or had a conference there and were forced to stay at the hotel. I would not recommend this hotelk. It would make sense to spend extra to stay somewherelese, or spend the money on Uber if you are just visiting for a wedding"

"Greeted by delightful reception and ushered to a luxurious room, stay at the Riverstone was exceptionally peaceful. I cannot fault this establishment other than very slow service in the restaurant. Was absolutely lovely stay and definitely recommend it!"

"Really disappointed in this accommodation, The advertising, photographs and description probably sold me on purchasing a one night stay, needless to say I was embarrassed to take my loved on there for our 5 year anniversary. 1) The driftwood restaurantfood was terrible, burnt and tasteless for the price of the food on the menu. 2) the pillow cases were dirty with make up marks when we climbed into bed. 3) the bathhadfemale hair in the tub, and top it offtheprivate swimming pool was an ice bath with someunknown persons underwear lying in the garden on full show. this was really not a romantic weekend but rather a disaster will not recommend Riverstone at all for honeymoons or anniversaries."

"We stayed over at Riverstone lodge to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We got to stay in the honeymoon suite which was absolutely stunning! LOVED the room and our own private garden. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the GM ensured that our every need was taken care of.Would definitely stay there again."

"Was really bad: (1) Had booked a Honeymoon suite only to find that on my arrival they had given it to someone else. They could not explain the mix up which really irritated me. Even though I was offered a free spa treatment, my weekend was already spoiled. (2)Housekeeping just opens the rooms without knocking. (3) The food in the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, very limited menu. (3) Service at the restaurant really bad, slow, they don't ask you how you like like your steak or eggs, they drop the food and never come back to check if everything is ok. (4) Restaurant staff are very loud, they laugh so loud, it really disturbs the guests."
