This historic and spacious mine managers residence was built in 1919 on the outskirts of Musina overlooking the bushveld and Sinquelele hills. The house has been converted into a Guest House with separate newly erected spacious en-suite flatlet. We are near the town centre, 14 km from Beit Bridge and 44 km from Tshipise.
"I enjoyed my stay at the property. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff there is welcoming and friendly. When we checked in there were towels for one guest even though the booking was for 2 people (which was not such a big deal for us) , on our our 2nd day back after room service that was rectified without us complaining. What could be improved is the road leading to the gate of the guesthouse. Too many potholes that the road is more gravel than tared ."
"Very Clean an all workers is verry .Thanks so muchHelmut and Barbara"
"Old Mine Guest House its a very neat, comfortable and clean guest house. Spacious and peaceful. Its far from the madding crowd the only noise you hear its from the birds singing.

Its a home away from home self-catering guest house and the decor its first class. The patio or verandas in the rooms face the veld which adds to the peaceful ambiance of the place.

Its value for money and I would go back at any time if the opportunity arises.

Thank you."
"Lovely place, enjoyed the bush ambience and tranquility. Just had problems with the dogs, it should be nice if the dogs can be kept away from guests. We couldn't go to the pool because we feared the dogs"
"Large room, clean and comfortable. Good security for guests. We enjoyed the stay."
"Unfortunately we did not get to stay at the lodge as they had over booked, they made an arrangement for us to stay at another lodge which was very nice and service there was excellent however i had one issue with old mine guesthouse , they knew they were overbooked but did not have the courtsey of calling me and letting me know about that well in advance ..i made my booking 5 months prior to my stay i am sure they had enough time to let me know. Further to that we had been driving from Nelspruit and we were tired all we wanted to do was rest and continue on our journey , she had to drive to the other lodge and left us with the security gurad who had to wait for thw owners to verify if a prior arrangement had been done to accomodate us.. We booked with you and i believe we should not have gone through all that we should have been shown where our replacement rom was and checked in easily. Its the small things that you see as unimportant that makes or breaks you , you are in an industry where customer is King and going extra mile for your customers is key ...I do hope this was a one time thing and no one else will have to get that kind of service."
"This is very comfortable self-catering accommodation. Nice big room, good bathroom and well equipped Kitchenette. The only thing which stops us from giving it 5 stars is the fact that we had to mend the holes in the mosquito screen with parcel tape. There are a lot of mosquitoes in Messina."
"The place is truly a jewel in the heart of Musina. It is in a tranquil area next to the mines. the accommodation facilities are very neat, perfect for relaxing quiet holiday from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Me and my family loved it. I would love to stay there again should I ever travel to Musina. I will also recommend it to anyone travelling that way."
"It is a nice, quiet place with freedom of movement; We even had our own gate key (that was very convenient). Thanks to the guest house for ensuring us to have a pleasant stay."
"Tastefully renovated, our stay was adversely affected by the announcement from the owner, 'to be careful with the cobra'. Apparently there is a cobra kept in the room next to one of the bedrooms, and shortly before our arrival this cobra had made a mess and could not be found. Needless to say, I didn't welcome sleeping in a room next to where a cobra is kept, or indeed sleeping in a guest house which has a cobra on the loose."
"My family and I had a lovely stay at the Old Mine Guest House. It has character, the gardens are pretty, the units are immaculate, very tastefully furnished and fully equipped. All of this at a very reasonable price!"
"We liked the cleanliness and the special location. Something of the old, stylish North of South Africa. We would recommend it to all guests on their way to Zimbabwe or the Mapungubwe National Park."
"Pleasant, friendly staff. Wonderful comfortable bed to prepare me for 8 hours at the border! Invaluable air-con and mosquito sleep easy. Not that well sign posted. Staff did not have any information about the situation at the border."
