Napier Vista

Napier Vista is a two-bedroom self-catering unit located in the charming village of Napier in the heart of the Overberg. The free standing unit is situated in a private garden and is fully equipped with a two-plate stove and oven, microwave, fridge, and all utensils.

Nestled at the foot of the Soetmuisberg and surrounded by rolling wheat and barley fields, Napier was founded in 1838 and named after Sir George Napier, who was governor of the Cape at the time. This village offers Old-World charm and has a tranquil appeal. In times gone by, Napier's main craftsmen were blacksmiths tending to the many carts of the district. These days the village celebrates its past with an annual Horse and Cart Festival.

"Despite being situated next to a graveyard, we spotted no ghosts and heard nothing eerie in the night. Quiet, pretty and comfortable, well-equipped kitchen and living spaces. All-round great experience!"

"We had a warm welcome in cold and wet Napier. Napier Vista is well equipped and cosy. The hosts were very kind and helpful and Nakita, the dog, was a pleasure and gave warm greetings on arrivals. The view is the best in town!"

  • "Fair to adequate accomodation"

    19 June 2015

"<p>This lovely cottage is not being advertised correctly. There is no oven. The TV only consists of sabc 1, 2 and 3. It has DSTV. All that is required is for the visitor to bring their smart card with them to view the TV. Small details need to be added to this sight so that the cottage has a fitting chance of more guests staying at this establishment.</p>"
