The Grey Goose Game Lodge is situated at the foot of the Drakensburg Mountains on the outskirts of Newcastle. Grey Goose is a beautiful 1000-acre game farm with stunning scenery, the farm boasts over 600 head of game and 3 km of river frontage.
Whether for business or pleasure we are a fantastic getaway, offering a great service in beautiful surroundings.
We boast 30 luxury en -suite room that wererecently renovated and tastefully decorated. Each room is air conditioned and has an HD TV with the Full DSTV hospitality bouquet.
The farm boasts a variety of game which roams freely around the lodge, after a long day take a walk in our surroundings to rejuvenate your soul.
We are a family orientated lodge and children have right of way. For the hot summer days, kids can cool off in the swimming pool or in the farm dams, the huge jungle gym area with a trampoline is designed for hours of fun. There is ample space for children to run wild, chasing bunnies or play hide and seek.
The business traveller should not feel left out, we offer free, uncapped Wi-Fi , numerous conference facilities and a private lounge.
Gooseberries, our a la carte Restaurant will tantalize your taste buds, our menu has recently been updated to cater for everyones palate and pocket.
Our MTB track and running trail are an added bonus for the sports enthusiast.

The Gooseberries is a fully licensed a-la-carte restaurant with a fireplace, catering for lodge guests and the public. It features various lounge areas, outdoor seating areas, a bar and a lovely patio area overlooking the adjacent Drakensberg Mountains.
Activities on the farm include running, hiking and cycling trails and fishing.
Every Saturday we host the parkrun at our premises .
The Main Function Hall is expandable and can seat up to 450 people; fitted with air-conditioning, a bar, a cosy lounge and an open-air deck with lovely mountain views. The Gazebo is placed next to the swimming pool, ideal for smaller functions, seating up to 60 people. The Conference Room is air-conditioned and fully equipped, seating up to 70 people.
Iyakhala is where heaven meats earth a venue on the dam with a view not to be missed, seating up to 90 people!

22 March 2017"Peaceful and quiet. Have a huge concern around the safety aspect. Sometimes there is one guard sitting at a boom at the second entrance to the Game Lodge. This is like visiting a farm during the 1980's. Farm murders is a reality today and much more needs to be done to make the Lodge secure and safe!!!!!"

06 June 2015"I stayed there for period 2-5 June 2015 - room 16. What a pleasure = neat /clean and tidy - every night I came back from my outing. The toiletries/coffee etc. and comfortable warm duvets. Want to visit again for leisure purposes to see and experience the nature and I will I want to recommend you on the quality of your toilet paper- good choice- just shows the standard of your institution.<br/><br/>Thank you very much for the delicious breakfast in the morning and the friendly and helpful staff.<br/><br/>Cheers."
