  • "Martin was a very obliging host and an excellent breakfast."

"Very nice. Difficult to locate as the street name is obscured by a huge tree. Better signage needed"

"The house is beautiful and comfortable. Martin looks after one very well. The breakfast is excellent and includes fresh fruit salad. I liked the bath in a big bathroom. Parking is tight, but one learns to handle it. Close to freeway , shops, theatre, and cinema."

  • "Comfy hideout close to Newlands"

    15 January 2016

"Stayed here for the cricket in early Jan and stayed on for a few extra days to see the sights. As we stayed so long, we had the lovely large room, which was very comfortable and had an excellent shower and roll-top bath. Martin's breakfasts were great - although we had enough eggs to last the rest of the year! <br />NFPL is walking distance to either Newlands or Rondebosch stations, and there were just about enough dining options at Dean St arcades and in Rondebosch to keep us going. However, be aware that not all taxi firms seem to know where the guest house is - there is another Park Lane in Rosebank - so it's better to stand on Klipper Rd, as it's also difficult for taxis to turn round at the bottom of Park Lane. Also be aware that some websites wrongly locate NFPL off Roslyn Rd in Rondebosch.<br />Just a couple of little things would have made our stay even better - this site says that NFPL has a swimming pool - it does NOT - only one attached to the cottages. And it took a few attempts to get the aircon and hairdryer to work!<br />"

"Me and my wife enjoyed our four night stay at Number Four Park Lane. Martin, the manager of the accommodation, was excellent. Everything was in order when we arrived. This place is amazing. It is also close to everywhere you would want to go in cape town. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the mother city and I will be returning to it next time I go to Cape Town."

    27 January 2014

"Our stay was great and very comfortable. Martin was a big help and always available to assist when necessary. There was a hiccup with the initial contact and getting to the place via gps, so please contact them beforehand and make sure exactly where the guesthouse is.We hope to come back again soon."

  • "Perfect."

    13 January 2014

"We unfortunately stayed at Number Four Park Lane for only a day, on our last day in Cape Town. I say unfortunately because we missed out on what could have been a much more pleasant time spent in Cape Town had we discovered it earlier. The double rooms are spacious and lovely with exquisite bathrooms. Martin the host is an amazing soul who made our stay that much great, you are never left wanting. I can't fault it, worth every cent."

  • "Superb value for money"

    01 November 2012

"I stayed in a four star B&B before Four Park Lane, and Park Lane was truly 7 star by comparison. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, there are so many added touches like a heated towel rail in the bathroom, home baked biscuits with the tea & coffee tray in the room, a PC and printer available to guests. More than a home from home. Highly recommended."
