The Oak and Vine is an elegant Cape Dutch character guest house set in the secure and leafy suburb of Newlands. It caters for up to 12 guests in four luxurious en-suite rooms in the main house and two separate self-contained cottages on the estate.

23 March 2018"We rented the ''luxury,self catering garden cottages'' for 4 pax. There were numerous short coming in the offering, clearly no one in the management has tried to live in these.One cottage has a microwave, kettle & toaster, that is all and the other has a small cooker, one fry pan & one small saucepan, that is all. Crockery is limited to 4 of each not one more. No serving dishes etc.The bbq was adequate but we had to ask for tongs which were eventually produced. The manager has clearly no idea of what is required & even suggested we go to the local bakery for breakfastThe closets have no shelves for clothes so you have to manage out of your suitcase, no hooks in bathroom etc.Not Luxury & Not Self CateringWe will not be back !"
